Service airbag light came on last week. Took vehicle to dealership to fix. Parts are discontinued so airbag cannot be fixed per ferman Chevrolet dealership. Also told me that airbag will not work if in an accident.
I had my cruise set on 55 mph and was hit head on by vw jetta pulling out toward my vehicle, then forced to left into a telephone pole. Airbags didn't deploy, and received broken sternum. Don't know if seatbelt injured me, or if the seatbelt didn't lock on 2nd impact and possibly hit the steering wheel.
It was raining and we were on our way home driving down the highway and hit a water puddle and hydroplaned of the side of the road the truck cut off and spent around hit a tree head on and the airbags didn't deploy. I was hospitalized with multiple injuries and im still suffering.

Also had a power window motor go out. I understand that this might be involved in a recall of window motors that could be causing fires.

The vehicle drove off of the road, rolled over, and none of the air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The driver sustained back, neck and shoulder injuries. The vehicle was declared destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle identification number was not available. The failure and current mileage was 65,000.
