2007 chevy Trailblazer the switch on the arm rest gets hot and at times does not respond when unlocking or locking.
I have a problem with the general motors (gm) is recall that involves the ddm on my Trailblazer. Gm says its not involved in the recall but they have 1 already changed it under warranty on 3/29/2013 (recall) and again at 6/07/2013 and its again failing why are they not responsible to replace this defective part??.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. While driving at a low speed, both outside mirrors moved independently and the seat heater stopped working. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the front driver side door module needed to be reset. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who diagnosed that the mirror actuators and the heated seat elements needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,363.
Inaccurate fuel level reading. In November, my fuel gauge and driver information center began to spontaneously read erratically and would not accurately show me how much gas I had. Condition has rapidly progressed to where the fuel gauge almost constantly reads empty, low fuel light is illuminated and fuel level low is displayed in the dic. In researching this issue, I found service bulletin no. 10054b which states it is a premature wearing of the fuel sensor and I should have received a mailed notice from gm regarding this known issue. I have not received any such notice. There are no recalls associated with my VIN and my warranty has now expired so there will not be "vehicle eligibility" for the dealer to confirm through the "applicable warranties section in the global warranty management system. " this issue is bigger than publicly acknowledged by gm and needs to be a full recall, not a 50/50 shared responsibility with the customer when gm acknowledges the issue is due to a faulty part that prematurely wears and causes the malfunction. Also, the entire fuel pump including the sending unit and fuel level sensor needs to be replaced, not just the fuel level sensor.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer 360. While the vehicle was stopped at a red light, the driver side window began to independently roll down without warning. The failure recurred on several occasions while the vehicle was occupied or parked without the key in the ignition. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13v248000 (electrical system, visibility). The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
My master window switch caught fire on 9/27/14. I woke up that morning to find that my window did not work while driving my daughter to school. Then all of sudden there was a smell of something burning on my side of the car. I immediately stopped the car and noticed smoke coming out of the door panel. I took out the switch and it was burned. It also burned some of the material inside of the door. Then all of sudden while I was sitting on the side of the road. The window started going up and down randomly with the smoke coming out of it. I took it my fathers house where he disconnected the module. The window was half down. It was 45 degrees that morning . I paid someone to put the window back up with a price of $150 due to extremely cold weather and having a 2 year old. I went to crew cheverolet to have this repaired when they said that all 2005-2007 master door switch was on recall due to electrical issues that may cause the switch to catch fire. When they looked up my VIN they told me that my truck was not covered. My vehicle is a 2007 and im not sure why my vehicle is not covered. If this is a known issue, then I believe I should get a new part due to a manufacturing error. They told me I had to pay $405 for the part and programming but could not guarantee that my motor for my window was not damaged as well. I contacted gm myself and they said there is a recall on 2005-2007 chevy Trailblazer but my VIN was not included. I was told there was a recall for chevy Trailblazer in my state just not my vehicle even though it is a 2007. My daughter and I could have been seriously injured.
Headlights will not work but high beams do. Driverside door control does not work either.
Driver window was down approximately 2 inches and would not go back up. None of the electrical parts on the driver side will work. I called the dealership that sent the recall notice to schedule an appointment. He said they would not have the recall parts to repair the problem until the fall. Said they would charge 100. 00 to run the diagnostics. Called another Chevrolet dealership and they will have to order the parts, if indeed the recall is the problem. The window went all the way down by itself, with no key in the ignition, today. There is also a very strong electrical burning smell in the car. I will have to leave the car outside, because the recall says do not park in the garage because of a fire, with the window down all night.
Re reference to recall subject : driver's master power window switch may short this also can cause the entire drivers door panel to become unusable (dead) causing the drivers door to become unlockable from the inside you have to use a key from the outside to unlock the door or climb over the console to exit the passenger side. This could be a real hazard in and accident.
Some times fuel gage reads empty and some times reads full and still it may a third empty or 16 gallons full.
Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. It was raining and we were on our way home driving down the highway and hit a water puddle and hydroplaned of the side of the road the truck cut off and spent around hit a tree head on and the airbags didn't deploy. I was hospitalized with multiple injuries and im still suffering.
I filled the vehicle up to full with gasoline. The bell chimed shortly thereafter and low fuel light, and warning came on showing low fuel. A few days later the check engine light came on. I received a notice from gm in 2013 about a possible problem with early wear of the fuel sensor causing this problem. They covered the expense of repair up to 120,000 miles. We now have 134,000 miles on this vehicle and the problem just came up, so will not be covered by gm. I have read many complaints about this problem with the Trailblazer online, so I know the problem has been identified by gm. I cannot afford the repair at this time and believe gm is not recalling this fuel sensor problem as they should be doing.
Gas guage now has frozen all of a sudden after 50,000 miles. I filled up my tank full, started the Trailblazer, and the gas guage only says tank is 1/4 full!!! ? the check engine light goes on and off along with the abs and stabilitrak lights. Sometimes they are frozen and stay on for days. I understand there are alot of problems with the electrical system on these vehicles! ? unfortunately! :-( and now. . . . . . The gas guage too???!!! this does not make me happy! always loved chevy vehicles! I don't know about anymore! how to rectify the gas guage????.

Drivers door module malfunctions, windows can go down but can not control up on rear window. I was told by gm and dealer that it is not covered by recall NHTSA #12v406000 or #13v248000, gm #12180. I was never notified of this recall even though the Trailblazer was originally purchased when I lived in indiana and NHTSA 12v406000 covers this. They want me to pay for the repair.

We were on our way to a doctors appointment early morning. We were slowing down for a red traffic light and alarms went off and Trailblazer went dead !! in the middle of road. Rush hour traffic , everything cut off !! now we can not get it to run . It starts up and run maybe 20 minutes then shuts off !! what can we do with it ?.
I have been expeiriencing problems with my drivers door main control panel for operating windows , locks and mirror control. This panel will work intermitantly and now its is not working more than it is working I cannot unlock drivers door when not fuctioning unless I enter thru passenger door . Cannot open windows nor can I ajust my mirrors. I have contacted gm , but they are telling me that my make, model and year are not part of the current recall. I purchased this vehicle last November from a used car dealer. I feel that this vehicle is not safe due to this electrical problem . . .
Takata recall I was involved in an accident that did over $9,000 damage to my front end of vehicle. The airbags did not inflate. This was on a city street, and both vehicles were moving. Also had a power window motor go out. I understand that this might be involved in a recall of window motors that could be causing fires.

On July 18th goldsboro Chevrolet in nc we were told could not seal that leak, because it was to far gone. So he had to order part for it, we set a date to bring back truck on July 23 2013. Then we was told they was going to use a sealant kit that he was thinking we need whole part but then he change his mind that it was not needed. We are confuse about it, because the circut board has has a mind of it on. So we do not want patch work we want a new unit, can someone please respond back to me telling us our rights, and what to do .
Blower motor was running after vehicle was turned off. Didn't discover until I smelled smoke, burning rubber smell in the garage. Had to pull fuse out to get motor to stop. Very hot and felt it may have caused fire at some point. Gm dealer of course said there is no bulletin or recall,. . . . Yet.
I was driving home from a wedding on the interstate at 55 mph, and my headlamps failed. Everything went completely dark. After a panic, I was able to turn on my high beams, and they worked properly. I had to drive the rest of the way home with my high beams on for safety, blinding oncoming drivers. When I got home, I tested my fog lights, and they worked properly. I turned the car off, waited a few minutes, and turned it back on. The low beam headlamps worked then. Since the first incident, I have had approximately 10-15 other incidents of the same occurrence. I was positive that my vehicle was included in the recent recall, but when I called my local dealer, I was advised that my VIN number was not included. I don't understand, since the issue on the recall is exactly the issue that I am dealing with. I have had to limit my use of the vehicle at night for fear that the headlamps will fail. Side note - they have failed at night twice in the last week alone. Generally what I have to do is pull over on the side of the road (scary) and turn the car off, wait, and try them again.
My fuel guage is starting to flucuate. I just filled it up and when I go down the road it will go down at least a quarter of a tank and when I stop and let it run idle for awhile it will go back to where it was. It just started this this past week. From what I am reading, it won't belong before I will have to spend another bunch of money into it. Last month I had to put a new throttle body on it because the sensors went bad and with this year the sensors are in the throttle body, so you have to buy the whole thing. As I was getting into the vehicle about a month ago, the part for the seat controls on the bottom side of the seat just busted off. Everytime it gets colder out, the stabilitrak system won't stay on. It was always off in the winter time, never worked. When living in michigan and getting lake effect snow alot of the time, it would be nice to have it available. I will never buy another gm product. Been buying them and my family members for more than 50 years, more and more of the newer vehicles have too many problems. I don't make that much money to keep putting money into a vehicle that is supposedly reliable and take days off of work to get them fixed. No thank you.
After the recall of 12180 and repairing the 1st problem with the door my driver's side window only works intermittently. Dealer tells me it's 'not related' to that recall and I have to pay to repair this myself. I don't have the money to pay for another problem on this 2007 pos that gm pumped out. What is this. . The 4th recall? I've had to pay out of my pocket each and every time to get these fixed and it's hell getting my money back from the dealer! now as unlucky as I am, I ended up with 2 of these 2007 gm vehicles, the other an envoy. Now the envoy went in for the previous recall #12180 and now also received the paperwork to go in and and get repaired under the new recall #14309; why is my Trailblazer not included in this recall?? I still have a driver's door window that only works sporadically, how can the dealer tell me that that's a separate problem when everything I'm reading right now is saying the window problem is inclusive?? I need gm to be responsible and fix this window problem/door motor problem.
Traveling at 65 mph at 9pm on a unlighted, remote highway the low beam headlights went off. The headlight switch was in the automatic position. I tried all headlight switch positions and determined that only the parking lights worked. I did not try the high beam switch. I was behind a large truck which I followed since there was no location to safely stop. I planned to follow this truck to the next town about 6 miles away. After about 4 miles the lights came back on. I had not noticed any others issues with the lights in the past. I have left the headlight switch in the automatic position all the time.

While on the highway the drivers side door window lowered by it's self, soon there after a strong smell of smoke, came out from the switch that controls the power locks, and windows. I immediately pulled off the road, as the control was literally sparking the window then went up on it's own and there after it did not work anymore. I have contacted gm and they stated that parts are currently not available, however they state that when they become available they will call me in the mean time they suggested that the vehicle be parked out doors since it can still catch on fire. This vehicle was purchased new and now I am stuck without a car for transportation. Gm also states that these modules will not be available until January 2013. . . Note the module literally melted.
