Driving, smelled coolant and heard fan running. Temp gauge was slightly elevated, not in the red. Topped off coolant and took to mechanic. He said I couldn't have checked radiator because it has a cover over the engline. Water pump and blown head gasket, estimate $3600-$5000. It's been sitting 3 months because I can't afford to fix it. I have 3 disabled children, and can't get them to dr appts because my other car is 18 years old and too small.
My car is overheating, have already changed the thermostat and flushed the radiator, the car still getting overheated.
