Seat-belts: when buckle it, the hard part injures the passenger. Driver seat: pellets came out of the rail of the seat. Driver seat headrest: when driving, if a person holds the headrest and push it, it moves, making the driver move the head. The headrest do not have a lock. All these issues happen when driving in the street, highway. This is unsafe condition for the driver as well for the passengers. I hope this issues are resolved before an accident occur.

I bought the car 12/2015. When the engine stopped on me on 1-95 with my children and I, we were terrified. During a service in 2/2016, I found out there was a 20,000 mile discrepancy. They supposedly fixed the engine but the a/c was not covered in the standard warranty. Since then, I bought my car to autonation in aprox. 12 times. Last time, I bought the car over in may, I dropped in off because my car was shaking, gas was coming out the pipe and then it stopped and received my car back over 24 hours later. When I picked my car back, I received a estimate of atleast $3,000 and was told if I were to get the certain repairs done to the car, it does not mean that, my car would stop having the problem, when the car stops. Again, this month, my car did the same thing and the trunk door would not stay open, I have to hold the door up with my hands. Then I took it somewhere else, that repair center, stated that my computer has problems, I need a new condenser and compressor.

There are a lot of paint dings. Some very small some larger. Mostly in the front half of the vehicle. My driving habits and destinations have not changed over the years and this is the first time I've ever seen this many dings in one vehicle in a short period of time. I did mention it to the dealerships service department and of course there are no known issyes with the paint failing. Its been approximately 3 mths. Since I was told this and it still sits very uneasy with me!!!! sooner or later things dings will start rusting. I still have just over 5 yrs. Left to pay for this vehicle!.

We bought a used vehicle from acadiana Mazda, lafayette la. About a week from having it the emergency brake light comes on. We bring it in, they say they can't find anything wrong so we take it back. The next week, the salesman gives us a call and says that they need to replace the windshield, after asking for a sales ticket for several days, they give us a sales ticket from the week before that says that they think the vehicle has a water leak. (service ticket is enclosed) I come home that night before bringing it in and I find rust dripping from the emergency brake, standing water under my flooring, rust / corrosion all over the bottom parts of the car. What is suspected by the car dealership is that the windshield wasn't sealed right and when it would rain it would come in from the windshield and drip down through the emergency brake. We figured there were 37 days of rain since they had it and all of that rain was going into the vehicle. I was not informed of this prior to buying the car. I tried to return it but they refused and wanted to fix it. That was just sealing the windshield, the brake sensor and replacing the flooring. I did not feel that was good enough. To avoid a legal battle and concerned for my family's safety, I traded it in. I believe there may be some electrical issues, and other concerns with the car that they will not fix so I am reporting this for someone else's safety. It may also have been flooded but that wasn't disclosed when the first owner traded it in but that is just speculation. Please investigate.
Rear power lift gate goes up about 70 percent and powers right back down on you.
12/21/16 first, I pulled out of driveway and the vehicle would only go about 1-2 miles an hour for several blocks. . . Pulled over and put in park and revved the engine a little and pulled out again. It still wouldn't accelerate at first, then gradually picked up speed and rode the remainder without incident. On 12/22/16, one second I was parking my car in front of the store I work at, and was almost completely stopped with my foot on the brake, when all of a sudden the car lunged forward into the brick wall of the building. The airbag in the steering column deployed. The car bounced back and shut down I think). I reached up and turned the key off & l opened the door & the radiator was leaking onto the lot. . My knees were hurting really bad, both my hands were sore and my left arm. The car front was all damaged with part of the fender on the sidewalk. We called my husband to come and take me to get checked out because I thought I might have cracked both my kneecaps. We contacted our insurance company and they told us to have the car towed to our preferred body shop, which we did. The dr x-rayed my knees and determined they were not broken, just badly bruised. On Dec 26th, I went back to the dr because I started having some pain in my neck/shoulder and they did numerous tests, finding what they thought was a fracture in my neck. I had to wear a brace on it for a week, then more testing determined that what they saw was actually a previous injury that had never been caught. I need physical therapy on the neck issue. I have since found that there are several complaints of these cars suddenly lurching forward when the brake is applied, over a span of 7 years. I am not only thankful I wasn't injured worse, but that there wasn't a person in front of me when this happened. I am very concerned that it could happen again and the outcome could be much worse.
On oct 25 of last year we were involved in a accident where we hit a car broadsided doing about 30 mph causing considerable damage to our car, both my wife and myself had terrible whiplashes. And I believe that some of our pain could have been prevented if the air bags would have deployed which they did not do. We were on 4 lane divided road going through the town of chiefland FL. We were passing a semi truck which was slowing down to make a turn when a vehicle came across the front of the truck and continued to come into our lane with no regards to stopping and we had no choice or time to stop.

Passenger side window exploded. We were driving on an open rural highway with no vehicles near us in the afternoon. The weather was about 75 degrees and sunny. All windows were up and the a/c was on. We heard an explosion which sounded like a tire blowing out and the passenger side front door window had blown out. When we pulled to the side of the road, you could see that the remaining parts of the window were angled outward slightly as if there had been pressure from inside the SUV pushing it out. Fortunately, very little glass came into the car as it was all blown outward. We were driving the speed limit on cruise control (70mph). As there were no nearby vehicles or people on the side of the road, road debris was not the cause of this. Also, a close review of the vehicle show no marks from any external debris.
The power lift gate failed almost smashing my child. (picking child up from school placing bag in back) recall is out there but my VIN# is not in the recall. They know this is a problem but refuse to fix it for me because my VIN# isnt on recall.

For some reason the rubber seals on all the doors seem to fail at different point. I had the dealer replace the driver and passenger door seal 2-3 times (while the car was under the 36,000 mile mark). The back door where only replaced once each. Now that the car is at 62,000 miles, it looks like 2 door seals are falling apart. This creates a massive wind noise in the car. I have never seen this failure on any car I have ever owned. I have a Jeep wrangler with 100,000 miles setting next to my chevy all the time with no issues.
Front door hinge roller is siezed, both right and left sides resulting in difficulty opening and closing door, extreme metal on metal clunking sound.

While pulling into a parking spot, I applied the brake and came to a complete stop. Put the vehicle into park and then removed my foot from the brake pedal, as soon as I did this the car began to move forward, I reapplied pressure to the brake and then slowly let it back off again after verifying that it was in the park position (which it was). The car continued to move forward driving over the cement curb stop and straight towards the glass wall of the business I had pulled into, and so I immediately applied the parking brake and removed the keys from the car. I then tried to restart the car but it would not turn on, only the engine light would come on, the brake pedal at this point was seized and I couldn't press it down, nor was I able to move the car out of the park position. After calling a tow driver he checked the transmission linkage and we were able to get the car started again however now the car is running, in the park position but the reverse camera is on and when I tapped the gas it began to back up. The car has now been towed to my local chevy dealership who are investigating but they claim there is no recall's or notifications for a 2014 automatic Traverse (which there is!!). I just bought this car last month (Aug) and I see the notice was issued in Feb.
2011 Chevrolet Traverse- I bought the truck in 2013 certified, pre-owned for roughly $35k all in from robert Chevrolet. Have had several electrical and mechanical issues with it over the past 2 years. Windows have stopped working numerous times, mirrors as well. Left tail light has gone out 3 times, headlights have had issues as well. Most recently my passenger side step rail snapped off as my 13 year old 115 lb daughter stepped on it. I have 4 children, my youngest is one and a half years old and one concern I have is that the other side rail snaps off and as my wife is putting my son in car they fall on concrete if that rail should snap as well. In general, I do not trust this car or feel safe in it at all. The electrical problems scare me the most, god forbid there should be some kind of short and steering or something worse goes out and my wife crashes with one or all of my 4 children in the car. . My sales rep at robert Chevrolet has been contacted on several occasions, for a year has been telling us to come in after several complaints. Finally I took off of work and told him he needed to take a look at this unsafe vehicle and it needed to be addressed. They assured me they would take care of it, even suggested he would take me out of the car and eat the bulk of the loss. Needless to say they did none of that, indicated everything that's wrong with the car is wear and tear. I bought an extended policy on the vehicle as well, basically nothing is covered. And to boot, they suggested I pay 1200-1500 to fix the vehicle. Again I stress, the money isn't the biggest issue, I'm concerned about the safety of this vehicle.
There has been a leak in my chevy Traverse 2011 for a long time but we had no idea because it was under the foam in the carpets. We found water in our battery compartment behind the seat. We had to remove the seats in the car and found black mold under the carpets. We have been so sick for awhile(daughter diagnosed with autism) chevy/gm wants to charge us 1400+ to fix the problem that has probably been going on since we purchased the car brand new in 2011. I am so saddened that our families safety is not chevy's priority. It has 48000 miles on it so it is out of the warrenty window. No help from chevy to take the responsibility to fix this issue. Have I meantioned they have had my car for over a week and still cannot figure out where the water is coming from??? OH and they didnt have a loner for us either. . . . .
While sitting at a stop sign my Traverse was hit on the driver's side by the tire and fender. The side air bag or front airbags didn't deploy. The vehicle that hit my Traverse had airbags that deployed. My wife was 4 months pregnant and didn't have proper protection of the multiple airbags this vehicle has. She injured her knee from banging into the dash board and caused great concern about the health of our unborn child. The sad part is now we receive a letter that our car is part of the recent side impact air bag recall on the Chevrolet Traverse. The reason why it didn't delpoy in the accident is because of wire issues on the airbag system. Unsafe at any speed.
While stopped at a railroad crossing, I was rear ended by a vehicle traveling 55 mph which totalled my car but the airbags did not deploy.
Traveling approximately 55mph we were hit on the rear passenger side damage to the rear passenger tire well and rear right side on the body with extensive damage underneath. No airbags deployed at anytime in the vehicle. It was taken to the dealer's collision and repair shop and after several weeks it was returned. Within a week of getting it back the service airbag light came on, we took it back to collision repair center thinking it was an issue with the accident but the collision repair sent it to the dealership saying it was a warranty issue. I've taken this vehicle back 4 times now for the same service airbag light. Dealership service department supervisor keeps telling me it's an issue with there not being a grease needed on the sensors and that they apply to each sensor as it comes up, now on the 4th trip back service department manager claims that isn't correct and it has nothing to do with the issue. Each and every time I've taken this car in I have specifically asked if this is a safety issue and if it means my airbags are not working correctly every time I've been told, "no, your airbags are ok, there is no risk to you or your family. " dropped car of for final research into this issue since light came on again this week and service manager tells me that yes it does mean my airbags are not operating properly and there is a safety issue here.
Was in a motor vehicle accident. I was going approximately 10 mph. Other driver accelerated to unknown speed and struck my vehicle in the driver door. Door was crushed to the point that it was up against my thigh. Neither of the side airbags went off. Vehicle has approximately $10,600 in damage and I am recovering from a fracture in my lower back. Curious with this kind of damage and injury why the airbags did not deploy.
Shortly after purchasing brand new car we noticed small rust-colored specks all over the vehicle, mostly on the rear of the car. After several inspections, muzi Ford in needham, MA diagnosed this as "brake dust" from the type of brakes on this vehicle. They said there was nothing that could be done to prevent te specks, but that the only fix was expensive buffing/wet sanding treatments by their body shop that would have to be done 1-2 times per year, and they also said we should wash our car weekly. Our vehicle is still under warranty. Each buff costs approx $400. We believe this is a design flaw that the manufacturer should cover.
Vehicle was driven back home after a 20 min journey. Switched vehicle off, removed keys, I came back to remove last bag from vehicle - white smoke was coming from under hood. Tried to put out with a small fire extinguisher. Flames now coming from hood and out of front grille. Called 911. Within 20 mins car was a total loss, with damage to adjacent home. Informed insurer and gm customer care. Gm claims dept have investigated and no gm fault determined. 18 month old vehicle must not catch fire by itself, more action required. Vehicle is now in the hands of our insurer. Please note we are in canada - we also have informed transport - but we feel the us authorities should be aware. Seabright, nova scotia, b3z 3a3.
