Installing child safety seats in the Chevrolet Venture, warner bros edition, bucket seats. You can not safely install child safety seats with this type of seat belt latch. I have contacted the dealer who replaced the latch. It was no better. He even said, he felt it would be unsafe for his own child. I contacted GMC. They called today and said, there was nothing they could do. The irony is, this is a minivan marketed to families with children. It has the video player, cup holders and seat belt "adjusters" so the seat belts fit the kids correctly but you can not add a child car seat! I can guarantee someone will be killed or injured if they do not recall these seats. I told them that today, and they didn't seem to care. I also noticed another complaint regarding this. It should be seriously looked into. Dt.

The safety belt latch has a limited range of motion and doesn't allow for a proper fit for toddler car seats. They have the over the shoulder strap and when you try to securely buckle the seat in place the latch doesn't rotate up far enough to secure the belt. I've tried a couple different seats that would suit our needs perfectly and they can't be used until our child is over 40lbs. The seat we purched is the graco cherished car go, model #8480hg. It sits well in the seat, but can't be latched properly. Is there anything on the market that I could purchase that would allow us to properly secure the toddler/booster seat?.
Design of seatbelt attached doesn't allow proper attachment of child carseat -unsafe!.
Second row seat belts replaced several time due to lock up, continue to experience lock up after repairs.
