1 Catalytic Convertor problem

Failure Date: 10/20/2025

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated and remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken for the annual inspection, and dtc: p0420 associated with the catalytic converter was retrieved. The contact was informed that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to several independent mechanics who confirmed a failure with the catalytic converter. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

2 Catalytic Convertor problem

Failure Date: 01/05/2023

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a local dealer to have the catalytic convertor replaced under an emissions recall notice. The contact stated that after he parked the vehicle, there was smoke coming from underneath the hood. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact made the dealer aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 149,000. The VIN was not available.
