Vehicle would randomly accelerate without warning. Electronic throttle control light would turn on and vehicle would accelerate. Pressing on brakes did not help. Lost control of vehicle multiple times while driving down a state highway, and even on city streets. Would regain control after a few moments, but then the light would turn back on and car would accelerate again.
The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at 30 mph and attempting to stop for a traffic light, the vehicle decelerated as the throttle control warning light illuminated. Minutes later, the vehicle was able to be restarted. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 60,000.
I was proceeding to get on the interstate highway when I noticed that I was pressing the gas, but the car was not accelerating. I looked down and two lights were on, the stability control light and the throttle body light. I just purchased this car on 9/9/2015 used. Another time before that, I was driving home from work and my radio powers off and where my mileage is it says no fuse. When I got home I tried to lock my car with the keypad, but I couldn't. I had to lock it manually. I mean I have had more problems with this car since I had it.
