general problems of the 2015 Chrysler 200 - part 1

Airbags deployed 15+ seconds after impact. Passenger airbag deployed from the top of the dash and hit the windshield causing the windshield to shatter.

Somebody switch my VIN to another car stolen the parts the car unsafe swaying and stole the shocks control arm sway bar air bag tampered my car had a key hole on the trunk when I bought it it not there the gas pedal break pedal no correct the car is dangerous and I have a stolen switched Chrysler under my VIN number the metal tag missing out the windshield and not my engine.

My airbag light always is on and my cruise control revs my car and I have to break.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? • the parking brake randomly turns on mid driving especially on the highway. My car will randomly stop driving but the the radio and everything else is on but the car isn’t on if that make sense. When I go to turn it back on after it shuts off it stutters then finally kicks back on. My tire sensors are completely off , my airbag system is always saying error , seat belt system is always going off. I could be going 50mph and car will shut off mid driving. Yes it can be inspected for free. Especially if my car is recalled . How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? • my safety is definitely put at risk and sometimes others depending what my car does that day. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? • no I haven’t had no one to look at it has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? • no I haven’t been in a accident I do my best to get off the road were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? •seat belt sensor is on , airbag sensor is on , and check engine light is on. It’s been going on for about 2 months now there was no incident but I am very scared their will be. I do my best to be off the road but this is my only vehicle. I just seen an article my vehicle is recalled .

My husband and I were going to the store. We got into the car started the car, than were hear a loud pop, like a soda can exploding, than every airbag deployed.

Dash light on saying service airbag system which causes concern if crash were to happen and airbags wouldn’t deploy!.

Air bags need occupant classification module. Air bags don't work Chrysler claims no longer make it. All wheel drive doesn't work needs a power transfer unit. Chrysler claims it's on back order with no delivery date.

Airbag light is on , 2nd time my lower control arms are broken and I go through a battery every 2 years average.

When going a certain speed car will jerk and shift roughly into next gear, faulty air bag system shown on dashboard. Car had been struggling to start lately went to autozone with the check engine light now showing. Diagnostic machine advised power train system issues / antilock brake system issues. Codes: p1634, u0420-00, c2101-17, & c1246-1c mileage: 111250 upon doing my research these are common issues with this vehicle but yet no recall could be found for my specific vehicles using VIN #.

The car has the error code p0934 which the car goes into limp mode when I was on the highway way making me almost crash.

Air bag warning come on asking for air bag service, I am afraid air bag will deploy while driving I don't know if dealer knows about this problem component hasn't been inspected that I know of sysmptoms started in November 2023.

My car cut off right as I was stopping at a stop sign. It wouldn't even let me turn off the car to try and restart. I couldn't steer the car either. It took a minute and then I was able to turn it off and then restart it. By the time I got to the third stop sign it cutoff again. The second time around it read to shift to park before restarting. Thank god I was in my subdivision! there was no warning or check e gone light on either. Please help! more importantly my airbag light is on again. I've even had my airbag replaced by Chrysler last year. This had been a recurring problem since I bought the car. I reported it back in 2016 as well. My car is a 2015 and should never have had the airbag problem. Please help! I hope and pray this get to someone that takes safety seriously! this is my only car and I transport my children in it.

While driving the car on the highway it completely shut off and would not start. My dashboard is black and flashes. This could have been worse and put our life at risk. I have had so many issues on this car ever since I purchased it. I have taken it to a shop before and this will be my third time.

Was in an accident and airbags did not deploy but the other driver who hit me,hers did.

We purchased our vehicle brand new in 2015 with 6 miles on it. 1. The vehicle has always shifted hard, but every time I brought it up at the dealership I was told that "the car is just learning my driving habits" here we are 10 years later and my car is still shifting hard and it still won't fall into gear like it's supposed to. 2. Within the first 6 months the airbag light came on and would throw a warning message on the display, to have it checked. Even after acknowledging that I had seen the message it would beep at me and come on almost immediately. I took it in to the dealership on 3 different occasions while it was still under the 3 year warranty. The first two times I asked about it the dealership told me that they found a water bottle stuck under the passengers seat and that it was causing the wires to not stay connected. They claimed that it fixed the problem each time. The third time I took it in I made sure there was no trash under the seat and reset the light. After a day or so the warning light came back on. This time they said they would replace the parts under the seat, but I went to pick up my vehicle the dealership seemed confused about what was supposed to have been done. Then they said it was all fixed and hustled me out the door. I've asked about the issue at least 2 more times since being out of warranty. The dealership wants me to pay nearly $2,000 to have it fixed even though they say there's a known issue. And when my son and I were hit from the side in 2022 the airbags didn't deploy and I'm guessing it has to do with that light being on still to this day.

I was driving to take my vehicle to the car dealer that I bought it from and started having problems with the car. As I was driving the car started smoking really bad, and soon as I pulled into the the car dealer lot the bottom of my car was in flames. I had to hurry put the car in park jump out and grab my daughter out the car. Every since my daughter has been having really bad coughing issues. I took my car to have it looked at and checked and the dealer let me know that it was nothing they can do that they would not switch me to another car. I feel it’s unsafe and unfair for my children as well as my self to continue having to drive in and pay for a car that has caught on fire. Every since I have been having unstoppable problems with the car, from a starting issue, air bag issue, engine issue and so many more problem.

Let me start by saying I was in love with my 200s but lately she been acting up. 1) I was driving on multiple occasions now when I’ll hear a chim sound(warning light with nothing laminated on the dashboard) car loses all power and shuts off completely no matter where on the freeway and surface streets 2mins later car starts up. The latest incident came a week ago when I was pulling in a drive way car shut off completely while traffic was coming almost causing a major crash (thank god nobody didn’t get hurt) other motorists got out to help push it to safety. There’s been multiple occasions while driving the car starts shaking bad as if it’s going to stall check engine light comes on. . I pull over scan for codes nothing pops up ,I then check connectors and fluids etc unscrewed the gas cap redo it ,car starts up I drive home safely (no more stalling feeling or bad shaking) mechanic run diagnostics no error codes appear . 2) airbags senor come on and off for no reason which scares the heck out of me to drive it not knowing if they’ll actually protect me or not if I need it too. It’s been almost 2 car payments since I drove it. Due to safety fears because I travel with kids 3) it’s hard to pick up speed when trying to accelerate my car is now at 99k miles and I have been going through these issues probably since 73k miles.

Occupant classification module (ocm) or the seat cushion foam (scf) of the front passenger seat replaced instead of the both pieces together, which make up a complete calibrated set. The part was recalled I have the same type of car but my VIN is not showing up on the list. My airbag sensor goes off and I was advised that the above is what the issue is. My car for some reason doe snot come up as needing to be fixed but my car has this direct issue with the passenger side airbag. Feb 26, 2016 vehicles affected 71 Chrysler recall # s09 NHTSA campaign # 16v114000.

I was in accident on Nov. 21,2021 it was a t bone the truck that hit me the airbag was deployed and mine didnt but my car was totaled damage there is a safety issue. I was doing about 25mph and the other vehicle about 45mph.

Pcm failed and my car went into limp mode all of a sudden while going down a very busy and fast paced road with limited visibility. This entire car should be recalled after all the serious safety issues I've seen from it.

Issue #1) 2015 Chrysler 200 looses power and goes dead in the middle of the road. Shift gear to park light comes on as it goes dead. Vehicle has done this repeatedly. I've replaced battery, the keyfob battery, and had the oil changed. Issue#2) the passenger airbag alarm is indicating problems with the airbag. Issue #3) vehicle is an automatic, but exhibits stalling when shifting at sporadic and intermittent times since purchase date. #summary - it is highly likely the repairs from the Chrysler 200 recalls were either never performed or the VIN to the Chrysler 200 I drive was not included in the recalls. Please help resolve this as soon as possible.

Body control module wasnt working took it to the dealership did a diagnostic and it said body control module needed replaced we paid to buy this part and to have it put in and it still didnt work I have the receipts for this the dealership then wanted us to pay for more dignostics and parts and still isnt working there is a recall on this just want my car to be fixed and running properly and be safe on the road. Still a problem with the vehicles high communication which tells me if its not communicateing the part to the vehicle theres a problem in the electrical . There should be nothing going wrong the car is only 7 years old . I have been trying to get to the bottom of this the dealership grand bay area Jeep Chrysler has been of no help what so ever . 2 recalls already campain #15v470000 recall #r24 and campaign #14 v480000 recall#p43. And on7/23 for an exploytation of the software and the antilocking brake system is not working properly. This whole situation is not good I desperatly need help all of these problems are safety issues.

While driving into my parking spot suddenly abs, awb unavailable, performance shifting unavailable, service airbag, cruise control unavailable, front park sense unavailable, lane sense unavailable, dash lights appeared as my car lost any availability to shift gears, accelerate or decelerate.

Transmission not properly shifting into gears. Car suspension is always slamming. Air bag error code.
