Purchased this Chrysler 2015 in March 2016. Odometer read 28350. October 2017 hit a bump going to work, airbag warning light turns on. Had a little anxiety but w just the right bumps light would go off for a period of time. This continues until Feb of 2020 when I send the car to my mechanic to have a thermostat housing replaced as well as that dash warning light that comes and goes. Mechanic replaced the thermostat and informs me that the airbag warning is under recall and Chrysler will pay for that. Ok. I make an appt at the Dodge dealership in gresham oregon and they tell me after a 4 hr diagnostic that the airbag safety harnesses under the driver and passenger seats may not deploy in an accident. That I need to replace as soon as possible. The cost will be $2705. Hello Chrysler??? this should not be my problem or at least my sole problem. Cheryl gant.
About Dec. 20, 2019 I was surprised to find the air bag warning light on the dash of my 2015 Chrysler 200 when I started it. I went to a mechanic to fix it; but he didn't do that kind of work and recommended another mechanic in a nearby town. I was able to get an appointment yesterday (Feb. 17, 2020). The trouble-code was: b0020-13. He called to get the required parts, and was quoted $1,074. 00 plus 7% tax and labor of $100. 00. He looked on computer and found that both sides of the seat-sensor-harness should be calibrated together. In other words, the price doubles to $2. 500. 00 for both seat-sensor-harnasses! it is a "safety issue" that needs to be addressed in a car that is only 5 years and 8 months old (the date of manufacture is April 2015). We looked-up the problem online and found recall # 16v114000 which states that if one seat harness needs to be replaced, then, both must be replaced and calibrated as a single unit, thereby doubling the cost! I called Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 with my VIN number and she said that my VIN number is not included (actually, the recall only applies to only 78 vehicles). But after telling her that it was a "safety issue" that I couldn't afford to pay for, she gave me a "goodwill assistance case number". I was told that they "might" help; and to call my Chrysler dealer and give that number to them. I did so and they said they will call me 'soon'. I don't know what to expect. . They don't like to tell you much; but I'm hoping to have it fixed quickly, in the event of a crash that might disable, or kill, me! thank you!.
Air bag warning light comes and stays on while driving w/an alert sound indicator while driving.
The light to get airbag serviced keeps coming on and going off. It has started stalling randomly while driving or coming to a stop. Noticed that it didn't do it as bad once car was warmed up, but then it dropped power while we were in traffic on a bridge overpass and we had to limp it home. Looked up the warning light meanings and it said we should not drive it as it will either lose power withoout warning and have to be limped or it will accerlerate and we would have no way to stop it. So I have a car that cannot be driven and I had seen that there were recalls for similar problems however, when I put my VIN number in, it said there were no unrepaired recalls for this VIN number.

Air bag warning light goes off and on, stayed steady last week and a half. Took to dealer because my mechanic said there had been a manufacturer defect, have read numerous reports from other 2015 owners and it is still not handled by the manufacturer. Need it fixed for inspection and now I am going to have to pay. I heard others have had the same happen and then had another issue 3 months out. I'm not even done paying for this car.

Airbag warning light and sensor continuously turning on while in motion and while stopped.
Takata recall - airbag warning sensor has been displaying off and on for over a year. When I called the dealership I was told it was wear and tear and it would cost me alot to replace them. The car will lose power (grog out) intermittently causing me to almost stall. And just recently the gas cap warning light came on, along with the engine light. I have tried to have it fixed but was told something was faulty.
A transmission warning light, service electrical throttle, air bag warning lights came on my 2015 Chrysler 200 purchased from enterprise cat sales in may of 2016. . The vehicle began hesitating while driving as if I was shifting in neutral. I took my car to three rivers chrylser dealer west liberty avenue in pittsburgh in February of 2018. I also asked to have my brakes done. I was asked to purchase a new upgraded vehicle which I declined. I took my car back several times between three dealeaships between March and June because it was in worse condition than when I gave it to them. Smoke coming out of the tail pipe, sounded like a mack truck, stalled, coolent leaking. I had it towed three times. They would not give me a loaner car and were not helpful in anyway. I returned it to another dealership this week now June. The electrical throttle light came on again, engine warning lights coming on and I was told the car was unsafe. I believe this car was recalled and the recall repairs were not done on this vehicle. I contacted the warranty company that had my extended warranty. My car was under warranty when I brought it in February. According to an email, the dealership submitted the services "supposedly" completed in February to them in March and April after the warranty had expired. I believe they purposely did not complete the work in February in order for my warranty to expire and I have to pay them out of pocket. Now I have a car payment and no vehicle. Jim shorkey north huntingdon Chrysler dealership is stating the car is unsafe. I have only been given the run around from Chrysler customer care and the dealership/.

Warning light on message service air bags. Service soon.
On October 2, 2017, as I was preparing to start the car, I noticed that the bell kept ringing. And when tried to start the car, it wouldn't start. So after sitting in the car for about two minutes, it started, but hesitantly. Also, the air bags warning light had been coming on since last week. I was driving when the warning light for the airbags came on.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that their vehicle's airbag warning light was illuminated and the check engine warning light were both illuminated. The vehicle's brakes were difficult to apply due to the contact needing to press the braking pedal with access force. The contact took the vehicle to the dealership (boles automotive service center, llc address: 354 union cemetery rd sw, concord, nc 28027 phone: (704) 792-1005) who replaced the brakes and completed an airbag related recall remedy on their vehicle (NHTSA campaign number unknown). Air bag warning light turned on every time the car started. I took it to prestige Chrysler and Dodge to see about it. While waiting on my ride to the enterprise there were other customers with the same complaint. After 2. 5 days of waiting the vehicle was ready. I had to ask what the diagnosis /prognosis was and per devon my service advisor told me that there was something loose underneath the driver seat that caused the warning light lit. The part was replaced.
The "service airbag system" warning light comes on regularly. I have had the car to the dealer 5 times for repair. Wires and a sensor have been replaced but the problem has returned. My last visit they said it wouldn't happen for them and there was nothing more they could do unless I return with the light on. The problem happens regularly but intermittently while driving. I have seen other recalls with similar issues for this car. Is there a recall for my car. If not, why?.
The airbag system service warning indicator light on the dash board came on. I took the vehicle to the dealership service center to learn that a faulty passenger side seat sensor was the cause of the warning light (not covered under warranty and not included in any applicable recall). However, I later conducted research online and found that similar 2015 Chrysler 200s have been recalled for this exact same issue (apparently my VIN number 1c3cccab0fn541961 was not included in the recall). This warning light came on at approximately 60,000 miles and no previous issues we're noticed with the airbag system. Although the light first came on intermittent. . . It now remains on constantly.

My air bag warning light has been on since approximately a month after purchasing the vehicle in June 2016. It had been reported later the same year the issue with the air bag warning and the electrical system issue, there has been no contact nor resolution to this issue. My vehicle can be stationary or in motion, this air bag warning is making me anxious for my safety. I understand that my VIN# was not included in the original recall, but how is that my issue. I had this car for less than six mos. In 2016 it is now 2018. I thought that surely upon contacting customer service in 2016 and filing the complaint the issue would have been addressed and resolved by now, but to my dismay I have not received as little of a concern or inquiry regarding the safety of this product.
