In the past 3 years the active grille shutter had to be fixed 3 times. The check engine light would always come up for this issue after it was stationary or parked over night and then the light would come up when it was time to drive again. Finally the dealership fixed the the problem they said the transmission needed to be fixed. After the transmission was fixed my car now overheats after being idle for more than a few minutes. Also the passenger air bag sensor was fixed twice but lit up on my dashboard recently again.
First I received the wheel sensor warning. Then the air bag warning. Then a vape leak issue, and now my dash lights are going completely out making it impossible to detect speed. My car has approximately 140,000. My vehicle is in motion when this electrical issue occurs. I have been on both a highway and interstate, and driving straight during the blackout. It has occurred multiple times in the last few days. The electrical issue may be related to this recall: Chrysler (fca us llc) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chrysler 200 vehicles manufactured January 7, 2014, to September 23, 2014. The affected vehicles may have a power distribution center (pdc) electrical connector that may cause intermittent power failures to certain electrical components.
Check engine light came on. Had vehicle check and got a code. U1504 implausible message data length received from steering angle sensor. Airbag clockspring needs to be replace because airbad may not doploy during an accident. Was told to contact the dealership to see if there was a recall. There is not at this time. This is a defective part of the saftey system on the car and they do not want to cover it.
Air bag sensor, cooling thermostat and hosing. Shocks headlight issues electrical. I have put two thermostat and changed hosing twice. There are sever recalls listed on the same make year and model and under my VIN there's no recalls yet I'm experiencing the same issues that were recalled on the same year make and model. This does not make since why isn't my car covered for the recalls. I took my car to Chrysler dealer and called cooperate and they said my car isn't covered but there's recalls with the same issues for the same year make and model.
2015 Chrysler 200 limited when accelerating from park the car is reving to 3rd and 4th but going slowly getting stuck between those two gears then jerking and giving dragging affect after. While on the highway or street car drags after stopping and then accelerating. Var feels as if it is fishtailing and the wheels are getting stuck for a mibute before it jerks back into place. Air bag sensor goes on and off from time to time. When it comes on it will sometimes stay on for days sometimes weeks at a time. Oil changes have been done regularly. Juat started happening on 6/19/2019. Car seems to pull and vibrate even harder when the a/c unit is on. Car also has a hard vibrating noise under hood. Miles:93,800 transmission is under warranty until 100,000 miles no check engine light has came on as of yet.
Takata recall air bag sensor keeps coming on after taken to Chrysler dealership for repairs. Comes on after starting car or when driving.
A few days after I bought the car the air bag sensor came on . The dealership said it had something to do with the wiring and seats. They wouldn't fix the problem. I have read where the Chrysler 200 had recalled for this exact problem but haven't received a recall notice. The vehicle was in park and came on when I started the car.
I live in arizona and went out to my car to leave work yesterday. It was 101 degrees outside and the temperature reading inside the car was 110. When I turned the car over to leave there was an alert saying that the air bags need to be serviced. I have never seen this before. It went off as the car was cooling down but then came back on then off. The temp went to 101 and has not come on again as of today. I am concerned that it can either be the sensor getting hot or the actual air bags. The risk could be that the air bags could deploy when I am not driving or while I am driving. Or not deploy at all if I was ever in an accident.
The service airbag system light randomly came on. I took it into the dealership's shop for diagnosis. They tell me that a sensor under the seat has shorted and that it will require an entire new wiring harness and a new airbag which will cost over $2,000.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the air bag sensor light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to hendrick Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge (7630 hendrick auto plaza, concord, nc. ) where it was diagnosed that the electrical wires were faulty. The failure was repaired but reoccurred. Also while attempting to start the vehicle the check engine light had illuminated and a diagnostic test was performed by an independent mechanic who indicated the throttle body was faulty. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 66,000.
My airbag sensor has been indicating for quite a while although other 200 fall under the recall mine doesn't also my tire pressure sensor also has gone out.
The "service air bag system" constantly comes on and off. Some times it stays on for days. Sometimes it just constantly turns on and off continually dinging. Its very frustrating. It doesn't matter if I am idle, or driving. There is no rhyme or reason to when it turns on and off. I have had it serviced at the dealer 3 times now. They tell me its just a sensor or wiring but it still continues to happen. I bought the car in may and this is December and I am still dealing with this all the time.
Hello I've submitted and reached out plenty of times about a faulty transmission that when accelerated feels like it's in neutral then gets a gear and causes vehicle to make a harsh sound when kicks into gear and have almost gotten into plenty of accidents due to this. Also air bag sensor in passenger seat turns on everytime someone gets in as if it doesn't work properly.
While mobile or stationary my airbag sensor light is on. It has been diagnosed numerous times for the same reason. Due to a loose connection under my passenger seat. Chrysler has serviced it numerous times also. They have order new parts, replaced with other parts. They have tried to seat the loose connection in with a zip tie also. Issue has lasted since February of 2017.
Parking brake sensor is faulty. Dashboard says parking brake is on. However I reset the park and light on dash should go off. Doesn't. Seat belts alarm stays on when seat belts are all clicked closed. Faulty. Air bag for passenger seat always says broken & not working, therefore if in a accident I can sue Chrysler for injuries because air bag won't deploy. Transmission shifting is jerky and not smooth. Faulty needs to be recalled for these 4 items.
Car stalls into neutral or just dies when in motion, the airbags do not work, the middle console went out in 2016, the car tire pressure sensor stopped working in 2016, the car randomly revs into a higher gear.
Bouht the car with faulty airbag and passenger seat and upon multiple calls to the dealership nothing had been done and I have been dealing with this since 2016. Now my electric throttle sensor has came on with the transmission sensor. I just want it looked at and fixed. Not everything has happened at once it been a course of three years.
