2 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2014 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 04/18/2015

On several occasions I have noticed the hood partially up after parking the car. This has happened 3 times in the past two weeks and I have not looked under the hood during that time. I suspect that the hood latch may be faulty.

3 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 04/10/2015

I read the manual from first page to last when I purchased the vehicle 1) no mention of sliding arm rest and the fact that it doesn't lock in position. Very stiff to move from driver position, so I wasn't aware 2) when arm rest is slid forward it encroaches over the rear cup holder. 3) when cup holder/console storage cover is slid back halfway and locked in position, the armrest when slid forward encroaches over both cup holders. Appears very hazardous, so unbeknownst of this feature and while I was accelerating from 0 mph at traffic light that had just changed to green, the passenger in the back seat had pushed on the arm rest for an unknown reason (probably thinking it was stationary). As the arm rest shot forward, it squashed and propelled my large coffee cup through the cockpit area. Luckily it was not hot, but the problem was that it was a complete distraction not knowing this could happen. When I looked to see what the heck was happening, the vehicle in front of me had already been braking to stop. For that split second I wasn't paying attention to my driving from the distraction, I crashed into the rear of the vehicle in front of me. A design flaw? maybe add a locking mechanism. This is very hazardous without knowing the sliding armrest feature that could sever a drink cup in half while driving. I'm calling Chrysler customer service (800) 247-9753 and Chrysler group recall assistance (800) 853-1403 I know I'm responsible for the control of my vehicle, but something needs to be done about this hazard and I may seek compensation for my deductible. Yeah, good luck with that, right?.

4 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2013 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 01/20/2015

I am writing for the first time of a deal with my 2013 chysler 200 bought in 8/2013. The gas mileage has been terrible to say the least. I went to do a trade in for a 2015 and was told by the car dealership Chrysler in avondale, az that this car does not have a certain serial number and so is not tradeable with Chrysler due to a drop in blue book value soon after I paid full purchase price at that time of $19,000. With all gap insurance etc. I paid $27,000 for this car. I want to know what the car has that the general public is not aware of and dropped the value down so low it is not even tradeable or buy back value is so low even Chrysler won’t take it. I am so disappointed in the situation. I am a Ford car person and I have given Chrysler a chance for the last 8 eight years and was happy with Chrysler up until this point where I am stuck with a 2013 car that is not tradeable with the very company that made it. I do not want to lose money nor does the bank who loaned me the money for it, want to lose on the transaction of this car. I will go back to buying fords ASAP if this issue is not resolved. I want the money paid back for this 2013 car and sent to the bank for payment. Chrysler can send me a letter of where to return this car. That is only fair, since it is not tradeable at any time with Chrysler. I will go to the media here in az immediately with this information and expect a phone call from the media. You may give this e-mail to the complaint department. I want to hear from the Chrysler president himself how Chrysler can do this to a loyal customer. This is consider a lemon car and Chrysler needs to do something about selling lemons in the whole year of 2013.

5 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 12/17/2014

While on the bronx river parkway felt something funny on the dashboard shows transmission and car just cruising not doing nothing when pressing gas pedal. I don't know what to do but I told them that I really don't want the car back if it's possible for a different one they said its fixable it's just a wire problem I believe and I can't just change car like that I just got it but my point is this what to expect in the future I buy brand new car for a reason if old cars better why not returning I need help if possible.

6 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2011 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 01/01/2014

Continued problems with heating system on Chrysler 200, year 2011, touring model, v6 pen star engine: lack of heat on passenger side, & side windows fogging up. Little to no heat on driver's side. I have taken the car to the Chrysler dealership 4 x and each time, they flush and check the heating lines and say there is nothing wrong, that I have heat. The heat seems a little better for a short while, then the same thing happens again, I lose heat and only cold air is blowing out of vents with heat setting on max. I paid for an extended warranty when the vehicle was purchased new. I am told each time there is nothing wrong. There has to be something wrong! I never owned a vehicle with this problem and am very disappointed. What am I to do with no heat and subzero temps. ?? now the driver's side has little to no heat and windows are fogging up. There must be a manufacturer defect in the heating system on these vehicles.

7 Adaptive Equipment problem of the 2011 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 09/02/2011

Flimsy front floor mat migrated and bunched up under accelerator pedal preventing acceleration as needed even though mat was hooked on hook provided. Head end of mat rotates over toward accelerator pedal when getting in and out of car. Inability to accelerate as needed could be as dangerous as a stuck accelerator. It is conceivable that this situation could also result in a stuck accelerator pedal.
