My husband sat down in the driver seat of my vehicle thatwas parked in our driveway and wasnt even turned on and the head rest deployed and smacked the back of his head.

I honestly believe this has to do with me being discriminated by people even emergency dispatch and police from the city of inglewood , this is not the first time my car gets tampered with, but to start I already had felt something was off with the vehicle because I was parked and it accelerated all of a sudden last night of 03/24/26 then today on 03/25/26 I was on the freeway on my way to work then I felt something wasnt how the last time I drove it then it accelerated all of sudden and some setting on my car where changed so I returned home I didn’t want to risk my life or anybody else’s so I took pictures of the miles 114199 and how the cars is in case someone tries to take it and cause and incident & tries to cause and organized crime so I can get into trouble.

It shuts down the engine or. Does not go in park it has something going on with electrical I can not afford it help please.

My vehicle has an open safety recall related to defective headrests. The dealership never contacted me to perform the recall repair, and the headrests were never replaced. Mopar issued an extended warranty for this defect, but the dealership is now refusing coverage claiming it expired. The defect is now occurring, creating a safety risk, and the recall remedy was never completed through no fault of my own.

When I drive my 2011 Chrysler 200 , when I got weight or put passengers in the back seats or weight in the trunk the rear of car sways or make excessive jerks to the right and left, even on dry surfaces . Also , makes a loud cracking or popping sounds even when it is a small bump . It feels like the rearend is falling out . All I know is I've had it checked at 4 different places and they haven't been able to find any problems . This is a situation that could cause me to be in a serious accident or worse could cause fatalities !!!!!!!!! I 've also had this aligned and this still continues to happen everytime I drive this vehicle !!!!!.

You have a recall for chryslr 200 2015 for intermittent starting and stalling caused by faulty pdc connector. Nhtsa. My car is doing exactly that but its not under the recall why not? it had done this gor the last 4 months.

Both front headrests popped open while driving. No collision or hard breaking involved. 2 separate occasions, passenger side first then drivers side.

My engine filter housing is leaking oil.

There is no wrecks associated with this vehicle.

The 2 recalls r-24 and r-55 were both supposedly fixed at the hunt Chrysler in franklin ky but my vehicle is still shifting up into neutral randomly I almost got hit because I was pulling out of a stop sign and the car stalled and went into neutral and I was stuck in the middle of the road and luckily nobody was coming so I had time to restart the car and get out of the way but the recall work they did was not done correctly otherwise they would have not called and said my car was ready to be picked up. Then they hung up on me when I called to see what I needed to do about getting my car back in to be fixed correctly and they literally hung up and refused to do their job and ensure that my vehicle is safe by correctly performing the recall work that Chrysler sent them to do. I looked it up and the step by step guide is online and they did not follow Chryslers guidelines or standards and I want answers please.

The car would slow down out of no where there time when the car doesn’t go over 5 miles per hours and throws it self in park some times my door wouldn’t open with the bottons can’t open my truck.

3 months ago my passanger head rest popped open. Tried to close but couldnt. Today my driver seat head rest popped open as I was driving.

On July 4th 2024 I was driving home and transmission started acting up and leaked everywhere come to find out after inspection the transmission pan exploded under my vehicle and it will not drive at all it's saying service power train and service transmission and the car won't turn off or start and it's stuck in drive along with the emergency brake turned on by itself and the vehicle started to smoke.

The engine stalls without warning. The car is available for inspection upon request. There are no warning lamp messages or other symptoms before the engine stalls.

Car said engine was hot which it wasn't car won't move out of neutral.

I had just purchased my vehicle on 03/06/2024. A few days after purchasing my vehicle, the check engine light came on. I took it to autozone to get the check engine light code read and see what the issue was. The code showed a cylinder 4 misfire. I purchased and replaced replaced the spark plugs, egnition coils, a sensor and cleaner for fuel injectors and throttle body. After I replaced the different parts, it was still showing the check engine light. I took it to bi o tires and they had the code read and told me it had a cylinder 4 misfire. They told me to take it to tunex because they were not able to fix it there. I took it to tunex and they did a diagnostic to see the reason it was misfiring and told me that the car wasn't misfiring and that the vehicle was fine. They turn the check engine light off and after a couple of days the check engine light came on. I took it to the Chrysler dealership to get it checked, they told me that they were going to check it and fix a recall issue on it, and that if the check engine light came on, they didn't know what to do. The check engine light is back on.

The heated seats will randomly turn on or off. They won't turn on other times and then won't turn off majority off the time.

The active headrest restraint (ahr) failed. It deployed without cause and was inspected by the dealer. The issue was a small piece of plastic used in the manufacturing process. My wife was driving the car and out of nowhere a loud noise and she was struck in the back of the head. Luckily, she was driving at a slower speed and no other cars were around, she nearly went completely into the other lane. Had other cars been on the road, there would have been an accident. We took the car to the dealership when it happened with the passenger headrest a couple of years ago and the guy told us he ordered the parts to fix it, but it would take six months. We went back and he no longer works there an never ordered any parts. Since only my wife drives this car, we just let it go about the passenger headrest and moved on. I believe this is in regards to recalls s61 & t56. Both headrests are deployed and cannot be reset. To make matters worse, now the airbag warning light is illuminated at all times. An issue with airbags can be very serious and very dangerous if not addressed. After speaking on the phone with fca customer care, I was told this was fixed in 2014 (2-3 years before the recall was issued) & that it was out of warranty. I do not believe it was fixed, maybe someone inspected the car, but it was not repaired. The dealer wants to charge me $1,000 to replace the headrests and that is something I cannot do. The recall site states "safety recalls include any problem encountered with an fca us llc product related to the safe operation of the vehicle or the safety of the occupants. Fca us llc will correct the problem, at no charge, even if the vehicle is out of warranty and you are not the original owner. " this clearly does not matter to Chrysler. I have no other choice but to drive the vehicle with the airbag warnings on. I am hoping you can help. This is my last resort. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer and there were no warning lights prior to this.

Shift performance unavailable and my steering wheel gets hard to turn and my car won’t accelerate. Sometimes won’t shift to drive & the parking break will stay on even when not pressed.

I will be driving on the freeway, highway in the snow on ice in the summer wherever, suddenly my engine shuts down. I lose my power steering, my brakes and my safety. I have had my vehicle checked out and nobody can find anything because there are no codes that are being thrown. No dashboard lights going on nothing to indicate there's an issue. The safety of me my mother who rides with me often my grandchildren are at risk. Most recently it happened during a ice rain we had and I can't push on my brakes and my power steering is gone and my car spins in the middle of the road because I have no control over it. The only thing that I have been able to maybe come up with is something in the engine that was discovered maybe in 2015 something about a pcm I believe. So they did recall 2015 and newer vehicles and left all of us with the 2011 to 2014 vehicles to ben for ourselves. I am making payments on this vehicle and I want to send it to the junkyard. I can't keep pouring money into it trying to figure out why it just stalls. If this isn't present and safety issue to Chrysler then nothing does. I find it hard to believe a company that makes millions of dollars maybe billions a year cannot find it within themselves to recall the engines in these Chrysler 200 vehicles that are having these issues. With that I'm hoping that it won't one day die on me in the middle of traffic and I get hit possibly killed because it just dies and I have no control over it. As soon as I can pay it off I am dumping this car I will not put it on anyone else it isn't fair to them and frankly it wasn't fair to me buying this used from a dealer and having this issue. Oh by the way sometimes it will start right back up if I put it into neutral while I'm driving and hit the key others it will not sometimes it takes 2 hours for it to start again sometimes 10 minutes. I don't know why it does it frankly I don't care I would just like it fixed. I'm single I don't make a lot of money and it's frustratin.

The car is constantly needs a jump start , and the pedal will not accelerate. I have had multiple diagnosis and they don’t know what it is- the cruise control component comes on at the beginning of the jump start until the car runs. Auto zone and midas has checked the battery, alternator, did a draw and they can’t find the issue. When driving the pedal will not accelerate- may have to pull over, and restart- then it works, until you disengage the car. They charged me over 30,000. 00 dollars for this vehicle and I’m still paying on it and I can’t even drive it because I feel unsafe, especially with the pedal. It’s too cold to get up and jump start a car every morning. I’m paying 460. 54 every month for a car that I don’t know that’s wrong with it- I purchase a warranty and though I didn’t hit the mileage they said it expired because it was for three years. This should be illegal. I really need to drive to get things done. There’s no lights coming to indicate a problem, please assist. It kept [xxx] cutting off and the cruise control, then it stopped. Tried to connect with Chrysler they said they were backed up, only speed issues, like accelerating faster than the mileage, now since it got cold - it won’t even crank up without a jump start, but all things checked and the mechanics can’t find the reason saying it’s electrical. The car will not shift into park. Have had the problem “fixed” twice and still continues to happen. It will say “ vehicle not in park engage park brake to prevent rolling”.

Car stalls randomly mostly at slow speed or idle but also upon acceleration and its throwing no codes.

Airbag light is on , 2nd time my lower control arms are broken and I go through a battery every 2 years average.

The car keeps acting like it goes in to neutral and cuts out all the time sensors keep popping up saying engine is overheating engine temperature sensor the check engine light keeps popping up and the engine temperature thing keeps going away.

The radio screen sounded as if it shorted out, went blank, and now my battery dies if I don't run my car every day. My odometer flashes and my engine light is on, but the engine codes that come up are related to the evap. System integrity module, and the active grille shutter that I'm sure need replacement due to age. I'm not sure if there is indeed a short, but my battery has been replaced three times (this time being the fourth) since 2019 which seems excessive leading me to believe that there may be one. When reaching out to my local dealership I am advised to bring in for them to look at which costs $150. 00 just for the service department to troubleshoot. I during a previous recall I was informed that it costs $1800 to replace the radio. Upon further review I discovered that I am not the only owner with this same issue. Several owners have has this happen to their vehicles. I believe this is worth looking into.

Driver's active headrest deployed while driving. There was no accident or collision of any kind. Just driving and it popped me in the back of the head. It hurt and caused me to swerve, almost caused an accident. There are no lamps or warning lights. I can see a broken plastic clip inside the active headrest.

Car has been stalling during deceleration, braking and at stops. The issue was fixed only in one model when multiple years of this make and model was doing the same thing. The issue started in 2011 and was supposed to be addressed in 2012 but the actual recall to fix it was actually only for 2015 but I almost got into an accident by stalling. I bought the car & it started some days later in which the seller assumed it was fixed. After taking it to pep boys and getting other repairs it resulted in a $2k repair and its still stalling at stops and when slowing down. Why was the issue only fixed in 2015 models if it was made aware in 2011-2012? those models would need that recall repair also. I have not been able to drive it continuously without it cutting off for a full day and nobody can figure out why because no codes are coming up. When researching I found a forum where it was suggested this was a major issue that was never rectified by Chrysler. They closed the investigation but did not service all cars with this issue.

Both the driver and passaged (front seat) head rests have deployed. When looking inside them (parts are exposed since they have pooped and stayed open in a projected position) broken pieces are visible. Therefore, the headrests cannot be popped back into their proper position. This is extremely dangerous because the headrests could have deployed while we were driving. Also, the headrests no longer serve their purpose of providing safety to people riding in the front seat. There was no car accident or hit from the back. The headrests deployed (popped open like an air bag and cannot be closed) on their own. Many Chrysler 200 owners have complained about this safety issue. Chrysler should do something to help us consumers. I’m disappointed.

Vehicle directional system indicates that vehicle is traveling in the opposite direction of actual movement. Indicates vehicle is traveling north when the vehicle is actually traveling south; west when actually traveling east; south when traveling north; east when actually traveling west you may think this is not a safety issue but if a driver goes by the vehicles indicated path of direction (especially at night), the driver could end up in an isolated/unpopulated area at a time when their vehicle requires gas, the driver requires emergency services, etc. In addition to being an inconvenience (adding miles/hours of travel to a drivers trip), this could be a safety issue/dangerous =>place a driver in an unsafe area/neighborhood &/or in an area with no services/facilitates to purchase gasoline, etc. . . . Have the driver-in an unfamiliar area-going in the opposite direction of emergency services/hospitals, etc. . . . I recently purchased a used 2015 Chrysler 200 for a trip from az to ne nv. I embarked on my trip within a week of purchasing the vehicle. My departing had been delayed by the need to purchase medication to relieve my service dogs travel related anxiety. I had no time to become familiar with my newly purchased vehicle. Driving through las vegas, my vehicles navigation indicated I was driving south - when I needed to be driving north. I am unfamiliar with las vegas. I did not know if I was actually driving in the direction I needed to be traveling => north. The following day, driving during a moonless night, I was completely disoriented and became lost while following the direction my vehicle indicated I was traveling. For 2 hours I traveled in a direction that I believed to be north (my vehicle indicated I was traveling north). It was pitch black. I ended up in the middle of nowhere. . . I did not know where I was. I backtracked to a town I had passed through =>where I could get a motel and fuel. . . Navigation software error/malfunction.
