Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle decelerated, jerked forward, and stalled in the middle of the highway. In addition, the cruise control and battery warning indicators illuminated. The contact attempted to restart the vehicle, but it failed to start. I have owned this car for a while now. I live in a place that is below 40 degrees more often than it is above 40 degrees. The issue this car and many others are plagued with is a heater core and radiator that are plugged due to a manufacturing error from Chrysler directly. A plugged heater core and radiator not only is unsafe; it is unethical business practice. When my car does not properly heat, I cannot defrost my windshield barring my visibility and creating a massive safety risk for myself and fellow motorists. Not only does my heat not work properly, my car will overheat on certain occasions. To an inexperienced car owner the risk of destroying their engine is incredibly high. The repair can run as high as 1500 dollars at the dealership. I should not have to pay for an error that is not my or a shops oversight, and an incredibly dangerous oversight at that.

Tamara recall - the check engine light came on during cold weather (under 30 degrees), and the issue was that the engine coolant was below a specified temperature for a specified amount of time. Several weeks later my check engine light came on and my dash said that the car was overheating. I drove a few more miles and stopped in a parking lot. After work I drove it home and watched the temperature, but it didn't get hot again. I took my car to the dealership. I was told this was a common problem with these vehicles, and once the part was replaced, the issue does not happen again. I believe if it's a common problem, and I believe this could become a safety issue, it should be a recall. Please look into this issue to help drivers before it happens to them.
The car will not crank even though the key fob is in close proximity. It can take up to 1 hour (sometimes more, sometimes less) to get the car cranked. The car starts at random. . . No special technique can be used to get this car to crank as it should. The key fob works for locking, unlocking doors; however, it does not work to start ignition. I have replaced the battery in the fob, had the car's battery tested (it's in good working order), taken it back to the dealership of purchase twice. I have been dealing with this issue for several days now in upper 90 degree weather in florida. The vehicle is immobile/stationary. The occurrences have happened at home, work, grocery store, restaurant. Additionally I have noticed that the car skips while in motion. It feels as if something gets hung up and then releases. This is unsafe and frustrating. This car is crap!.
Totally integrated control module has failed leaving my car unable to start and once started have lurches in acceleration. Will crank but not start.

I bought my 200s to commute back and forth to work. I drive 114 miles a day. This car has become very unsafe. Not buy this car* it was an ok car until recently. 3 times in the last 3 weeks my car has stalled out. Every time it stalls out I loose break and searing functionality. Very dangerous. Twice it has stalled out while coming to a stop in stop and go traffic. I lost the ability to control my car while on a major hwy 45 in houston. Not a place you want to be and feel helpless. Luckily I was able to quickly shift into neutral and restart the vehicle before I got into an accident. The third time was a lot closer call. My car stalled out while I was slowing down on a hwy to hwy on ramp. (almost causing me to hit the lane divider) I had to use my emergency break and all my strength to control the vehicle and bring it to a stop. At that point I had cars backing up behind me and honking. Luckily I was able to start the car and drive away. (this could have gone a much different way. On a single lane on ramp from beltway 8 to hwy 249 4-5 stories in the air with cars all moving at 45-65 mph my car stalled in a 90 degree turn. I'm lucky I'm not dead. ) I have taken it to a mechanic shop but they can not find the problem. It is not causing the check engine light to come on and not throwing any codes.

An unexpected surge from the engine and drivetrain occurs occasionally with no accelerator pedal application - most often while slowing down around corners. The first time this happened was within a day of buying the car. It startled me and have since approach corners much more cautiously. The unexpected surge has happened approximately six times since late-January to varying degrees of power. I finally have time to take it in tomorrow, 8 April 2015.
On October 28th, 2014 I dropped my car off at the dealership for repair with complaints of electrical issues. The alarm was performing with unpredictable tendencies and was not disarming in order to enter the car. After driving a rental for two weeks that came out of my pocket the dealership claimed that they could not duplicate the problem in order to fix it. I was forced to take the car back knowing that the problem was not fixed. The random electrical problems progressed and the car ignition began having serious issues. Once the key was turned to ¿off ¿ the car would restart and the indicator light would say ¿key in ignition although the key had been removed from the ignition. I would have to turn and hold the key to the ¿on position for several seconds before the car would turn over. On December 15th, 2014 I attempted to put the key into the ignition and the engine did not turn over at all. I removed the key from the ignition and the engine began to make the sounds as if it was going to turn over at least 10 times while the key was out of the ignition. On January 15th, 2015 I received a call from the service rep at the dealership. He said that he was advised by my case manager at Chrysler customer care to call and tell me that I had to come and pick up my car although the problem had not been resolved. The service rep said that they had replaced the tipm (totally integrated power module), the battery, and the clock that flickers yet the electrical issues repeated even after the replacement of the tipm. He continued to say that the Chrysler engineers did not know how to fix the problem. This car is still within the formal ¿lemon law rights periodand I am asking Chrysler for appropriate action in a timely manner.
In March 2014 owner noted a problem with the hvac system - no heat was delivered to the passenger side air vents or heater vents in cold weather. During routine oil change mechanic noted severe discoloration of engine coolant and buildup up sludge in coolant expansion tank. Took vehicle to dealer for diagnosis. Dealer stated that the coolant had been contaminated with the addition of the wrong type of coolant. Per Chrysler star # s1207000008, dealer flushed coolant system multiple times and commented that if that didn't work they would have to replace the heater core, radiator, oil cooler, and expansion tank. When repairs were completed owner noted that the temperature output from the air and heater vents was 20 degrees lower on the passenger side than the driver side. Dealer stated that repairs were complete. Owner is in process of contacting Chrysler to have heater core and radiator replaced.
This is the 3rd time the car has died. This is what happened when it died today. Car was being driven by my son on his return from the doctor office. He was driving approximately 30mph and slowing down for an upcoming slope and 90 degree right turn. As the car headed down the slope, it suddenly lost power. He was unable to brake, or turn the wheel. Being unable to stop the car he hit a tree head-on. This deployed both airbags even though he was alone and pretty much demolished the car's front end. The police said if it hadn't been for the tree, I would be sitting in at hospital or planning a funeral, as the car would have plunged down a 25 foot embankment filled with large boulders. I will be contacting Chrysler tomorrow morning.
