1 Wiring problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 09/30/2020

My car shifted to neutral 6 times within a 600 mile radius on the interstate and engine would shut down. I had to coast over to the side of the interstate turn ignition completely off before I could put gear in part then sit for 15-20mins before the car would start up again. We done this 6 times before getting to our destination. Thank god it wasn't a lot of traffic. Took to three different mechanics before I found out some recalls had been issued for the transmission and wiring. My warranty expired a few months before the issues started so Chrysler want honor my recall. I'm still having problems with the sensors.

2 Wiring problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 02/05/2020

The car stalls and shuts down with no warning at all. Has been in the shop for the last 3 weeks. It was bought used from drivetime in duluth georgia. I was told by national tire and battery that they were not going to touch when I took it there for repair, they recommend that I take it to a Chrysler dealer, at that time it would randomly stall but would start back up so I went to work the next day and they car stalled again and got really sluggish I was able to make over to Chrysler dealership in buford georgia. They said it needed a tire sensor after they put the tire sensor on it stalled out on them again so they then said it needed a abs modular once they installed the abs modular took it for a test drive and it stalled on them again then they said they found some loose wires near the transmission the fixed and the car was running. I had the car for 2 days and it stalled out again. Drivetime then sent a tow truck over to take the car back to Chrysler in buford now they are saying the car needs a wiring harness at this point to me the car is unsafe and not reliable at all. I pick my grandkids up daily and I can not afford to have them in the back seat and the cars stalls and we get hit. Obviously they don't know what wrong and they are speculating. I have only had this car 4 month on February 12th 2020 and it's been in the shop for the last 3 weeks and Chrysler can't even repair a Chrysler. . . This is a huge problem. Drivetime is paying for everything so far except our funerals god forbid something awful should happen. This all happened on highway 78 in snellville georgia and they car was in motion when it stalled out. This is unsafe, we could have been rammed the car just shuts down in the middle of accelerating, slowing down for a turn, going downhill, in the intersection it has shut down but that time it started right back up.

3 Wiring problem of the 2016 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 12/05/2019

Vehicle went in for an airbag light twice right before the extended warranty expired at 75k miles. The dealership claims to have replaced a wiring harness under the passenger seat both times. Just slightly over 75k miles, the light came on again. This time they advised the whole wiring system needs replaced and that it won't be covered. Got in touch with Chrysler directly who stated they are willing to only pay for the $1200+ part but that I would be responsible for approximately $400 in labor. Vehicle was in motion each time the light came on. Typically when encountering a slight bump on the interstate. Safford Jeep Chrysler ram in winchester va is the dealership the vehicle was purchased new and continued service at the same location. The vehicle has been in for 2 weeks now and currently there at this time. According to a brief internet search, this seems to be a common complaint yet no recalls have been issued. If this can be settled in any manner, I respectfully request that Chrysler provide a refund for what I'm about to pay to get my vehicle back up and running.

4 Wiring problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 09/13/2019

I've had multiple issues. First, my car stalled as I was driving down main streets, the first time I took it to the dealership, they said they couldn't find a problem with it. Second dealership I took it to said it was an electrical issue my car was having, kept it for a week, repaired the issue. Second time I took it in was because my airbag alert illuminated on the dash, again, they said it was a wiring issue, someone had kicked the wiring loose under the passenger seat. Then I had it towed in because it completely stopped on me while I was driving it . Now it's in the shop because the malfunction came on, I still attempted to drive it to work, but when I went back out for lunch, it wouldn't start. Roadside jumpstarted it, and it started. Went back out when I got off work and it wouldn't start. . . However, while I was getting out, the dash lit up as and kept beeping as if the car was running, so I actually had to push the start button to turn it off , weird, right! but then as I'm walking away from the car, it's trying to accelerate on its own, as if I was trying to remote start it. Had it towed to dealership. They're diagnostic explanation for my car - my climate control module doesn't work, and I need a new battery, and yes my door panel had some faulty wires and they're waiting for the parts to repair this, but it's something I have to pay for. When I turn my car to the left, it sounds like something is going to break. My tires slide when it's raining, even though I purchased new ones. Also, my climate control has been beyond functioning. I drive 17 miles to and from work, and I have to turn it down because it's freezing sometimes. It's sad to know I purchased a lemon and that they cannot be honest about their recalls and making sure my safety comes before their negligence. , and stop trying to coverup their screwups in manufacturing a total lemon.

7 Wiring problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 04/24/2019

I am writing in to notify you that Chrysler recall p43 should apply to my vehicle. I have intermittent functionality loss in the driver door due to what the dealership told me is a short in the driver door wiring harness. They couldn't find the short visually, but know its there from a multi meter test reading. They wanted over 500 dollars to replace this door harness and I truly believe it should be replaced as part of the Chrysler p43 recall. This recall only applys to 8 "known" Chrysler 200 lx models but who is to say the defect couldn't be present in more? it has presented itself obliviously in my car. The dealership told me failing to replace this harness will result in further electrical failure including airbag mis-operation,. It does not seem right that this recall doesn't apply to my vehicle.

8 Wiring problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 03/01/2019

Airbag light came on in mid to late 2018. Car had ~65,000 at the time. Had the car diagnosed at the dealership and they said it was a wiring harness and charged me $300 to fix it. March 2019, the airbag light comes on. It appears on the dash for no apparent reason as I'm driving at highway speeds. After the initial audible and visual alarm, the visual alarm stays on and the audible alarm repeats every minute. Returned the car to the dealership (autopark Chrysler Jeep in cary, north carolina) expecting that the repair would be covered due to the recent repair. They told me it was a different wiring harness and it would be ~$3300. When I asked the service manager if the car was hazardous to drive, he responded "absolutely". I have since parked the car and it has sat idle since.

10 Wiring problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 11/19/2018

My airbag light stays on permanently. It used to come on intermittently. I have had the problem fixed twice by a Chrysler repair facility. I was told not to worry it's just a wiring harness problem. I'm scared because I've seen airbag recalls and I don't know why my car hasn't been recalled yet. My car also seems to be jerking more frequently. It jerks sometimes when I'm accelerating. I was told this was normal because of the type of engine. I inquired about this not long after I bought the car in 2015. The jerking seems to be getting worse. My check engine light stays on. I can provide info that my airbag sensor problem was fixed twice.

12 Wiring problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

The airbag light has not come on for months. Latelt it's been coming on pretty regular. I suspect a wiring issue as well. When vehicle is parked for awhile the light goes out like it should, only to come back on when it wants to.

13 Wiring problem of the 2016 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 05/10/2018

While in motion my car has stopped running on 5 different times, 3 out of the 5 times I was in crusie control driving on the hwy when I lost all control. The other 2 times was in town at a low speed. 14 Wiring problem of the 2015 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 01/16/2018

On 9/16/18, vehicle died and would not start. After several attempts, it started, then while driving down the road, vehicle lost all electrical power and came to a stop in the middle of traffic. Car was towed to dealer where they trouble shooted for several days trying to reproduce the electrical power failure. They found a services bulletin about electrical connection and replaced wiring harness. Over the next several months I noticed my vehicle felt like the transmission was slipping. As time went on, I realized it wasn't a slipping, but a hard shift. The vehicle would also loose power upon acceleration to merge into traffic or changing lanes. This was very scary, but at times it seemed as if the vehicle might lose complete power and die while in heavy highway speed traffic. On 10/11/2018 while having my vehicle oil changed, I asked the technician to drive the vehicle to confirm what I was feeling with the transmission. The technician agreed that the transmission was in fact not shifting or functioning properly. I obtained a quote to have the transmission serviced. The technician advised have the transmission flushed/serviced might help, but often times flushing can cause symptoms to worsen. I opted to not have the transmission flushed/serviced at that time and planned to take my vehicle into the dealer after the holidays. It is now the the 3rd week in December and just this week the hard shifting and loss of power when the vehicle downshifts to merge into highway speed traffic has worsened significantly. I phoned the Chrysler dealer today and spoke with my service advisor to schedule an appt. I am to call back on Wednesday 12/26 to reserve a courtesy vehicle and schedule appt. To drop my vehicle off on 12/27/2018.

15 Wiring problem of the 2016 Chrysler 200

Failure Date: 06/29/2017

I purchased my vehicle in 6/19/17 and immediately after a few rides I fault with the dealer about my airbag light coming on. I went to the dealership and they told me it was my airbag wiring harness and it would need to be replaced under both seats but it was not covered under warranty. There is no way I was paying for this when the car was practically new only approximately 42502 miles and I was having ongoing issues with my airbag light coming on. Well now I am really feeling like this recall is larger than it is presented. Also, the vehicle has electrical problems when I get things done to my vehicle. Such as my transmission needing service, the malfunction indicator light, the abs, the traction, and electronic park brake failure. All these lights came on just from replacing a hub (bearings) on my passenger side. My main complaint is on the air bag issue. I just want to voice my frustration when multiple people tell me they do not know why my vehicle is giving me these notifications.
