The car stalled in the middle of the freeway while driving at 65mph!! it is a miracle no other car crashed into us and killed us. It also stalls on the streets and after filling it up with gas. Sometimes it starts up again and sometimes it doesn't. The car is a safety hazard to my son and me!! it is a 2005 Chrysler 300 2. 7l.

Was towed to different dealership that also coulnd't find problem but cleaned heavy carbon from throttle, test drives indicated ok,another month same probleem, dealer could only find low battery, chgd it and we drove again, ok for 1 month and 1 week, car stalled again. The car stalls on all turns. Very dangerous when merging into traffic patterns and freeways. I have heard that these gas tanks are defected.
Every time I fill my car up to full, it will stall several times when driving or at a light. The stalls occur until the fuel level has dropped.
1st time car stalled after fillup. Next time morning after a fillup, car stalled then wouldn't start. Last time stalled as entering freeway almost an accident.
In July, I was stopped at a stop sign. My car went dead - engine stopped, lights, radio went off. I put it in park and restarted. Next occurrence was about a month later at a stop sign again. Last occurrence was September 22, 2014 - this time the car felt like it was decelerating on the interstate at approx. 60 mph - the malfunction light flashed and the esp bas light came on. After I got off the highway, the car completely shut off at a stop sign. I put it in park and restarted. My mechanic has installed a program update b/c he couldn't identify the problem. I do know I filled up my car the Friday prior to the last occurrence and did not drive it until the Monday am when this last incident occurred.
Car has been stalling after every gas fill-up for the past couple of months unless I am traveling at a steady speed of over 20 mph for at least 15 miles after fill up. Stopping at a light or making a left turn and stalling out is a nightmare! it only happens after a fill up. At this point I try to guess at what point to turn off the gas when refueling to avoid this very dangerous condition.

The vehicle will frequently shut off while driving. It will completely lose power. It also stalls, the gear shift has gotten stuck in park and would not move. The main concern is the fact that it cut off on me on the highway again today at 75mph!! very dangerous!! luckily the semi truck was able to swerve around me but that could have been a fatal accident! something needs to be done about this. . . .
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300c. The contact stated that the driver's seat failed to move and the vehicle would stall and shut off every two months. The failures usually occur without warning and while driving 15 mph. On July 17, 2007, the vehicle was towed to the dealer and they found nothing wrong. The current mileage is 37,000 and failure mileage was 8.
The car stalls out at slow speeds and this is occurring shortly after filling up the gas tank or when the tank is almost empty. If you do a google search on "300c stalling" you will literally see 1000's of complaints on this issue. The fix seems to be "replace the gas tank" according to the dealer/Chrysler. If this is the case and it's a known issue, why isn't Chrysler replacing everyone's tanks. I've been in several situations that were near miss accidents entering/exiting a parking lot into busy traffic or merging onto a freeway where the car stalled and I lost all power to the steering and brakes. This has happened several times since I owned the car (which I bought brand new) but at the time I thought maybe it was just basic vapor lock. As it turns out, that's not the case. This is a serious safety issue as you can imagine what could happen if you try to enter traffic from a parking lot or try to merge onto a freeway from an onramp and the car stalls out. Chrysler isn't stepping up to the plate to resolve this matter. To make matters worse, it seems only the original or early models of the vehicle are having this issue and likely all of them are out of warranty so there's no recourse to the consumer except to spend the money out of pocket for the parts and labor. The problem seems to occur when the car goes from an idle (or slow moving speed - 15/25 mph) to when you accelerate (speed at which you accelerate to is not a factor). Please advise/help.
I have a 2005 Chrysler 300c hemi. Three months ago, I put unleaded 87 octane gasoline in the tank. I drove a few blocks and the engine stopped suddenly in mid-drive. I had a difficult time restarting the car and when I did, it took a few seconds before it would engage in gear. I took the car to the dealership to check, and they advised me that the engine computers have to reajust to the lower octane. Since that time, I have only put mid-octane (89 octane). Whenever I allow the tank to be lower than a quarter of a tank and I refill with 89 it still stalls in mid-drive and hard to start with the transmission not engaging immediately. I am concerned that the car will stall in the middle of an intersection which could lead to serious injury or death.
Have leased my Chrysler 300 c for a little over a year. The vehicle has had a random stalling issue which has occurred 3 times in the last year. Dealer was unable to reproduce the condition but did re-flash the pcm with a driveability update. Vehicle just recently stalled while turning left onto a main road. The vehicle stalled in the middle of traffic lanes and I was nearly hit by two vehicles while trying to restart the car. The car restarted and I promptly drove it to the dealership. I just received a call that they can not duplicate the problem but are investigating further. I do not feel that this vehicle is safe and am concerned that I may be injured or injure someone else in the event that the vehicle stalls in traffic again.

The contact stated vehicle stalled at stop signs and red lights, and while driving at 45 mph. The steering wheel locked and then the car died. The vehicle has been to the dealership twice for stalling. The dealer did a diagnostic and could not find the cause of the problem. The problem seemed to be intermittent. She contacted Chrysler, and they said that she needed to call customer service at her dealership; they could not be any help with any information. If the problem continued she would have to take it back to the dealer. The stalling happened five times.
Contact states vehicle is stalling without warning. Vehicle has been to a service dealer on 3 separate occasions, but has yet to find what is wrong with the vehicle.
While making a left hand turn vehicle stalled. Consumer pulled over and restarted the vehicle. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. Updated 12/14/2005. The sunroof shattered when the consumer closed his door. The dealer claimed this occurred because the glass was binding in the track. The headliner was coming down in the rear. .
: the contact stated the vehicle stalls intermittently. It has been taken to the dealership a total of 5 times. The dealer performed diagnostics test on the vehicle after four times the dealer is still unable to duplicate the problem. The vehicle has now been taken back to the dealership a fifth time. This time a flight recorder was installed in the vehicle to find out what the problem might be. The manufacturer has been alerted.
Intermittently while driving on California freeway between 55 to 65 mph vehicle stalled . This caused loss of steering and brakes. Dealership inspected vehicle several times, but could not duplicate or correct the problem.
