My car stalled on a stop light twice last November 2014 and January 25, 2015 after I fill up my car. I turned off the car and then turned on the car again and it drove. For now it is working but I'm afraid it will stalled again while on the road.

44 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/10/2014

While driving app 55 mph at app 8pm at night my cars lights and all the dash lights went out and the car completely stalled. I was able to turn on flashers and coast the car to the side of the road. I sat there for several minutes and then the car restarted. Fortunately there was no one following behind me. I have been out of town on business and used a company car. Upon my return I took my car to our local shop today. They were unable to detect any problems, however shared an article stating more than 150,000 Chrysler owners have had similar trouble. They contacted the nearest Dodge/Chrysler dealer in aberdeen washington who offered no help or information. They could give no reason for the incident. We have not received any recall notice, nor information regarding any possible problems. How should I proceed? I am unable to drive my vehicle for fear this may happen again, and this time I may not be so fortunate. This has created a significant burden and stress. It seems someone should be accountable and that there is a significant liability by not being notified of this significant safety issue. Is this an issue I need my attorney to address? thanks in advance for your help. Kathy spoor.

48 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 12/19/2013

I was driving on the highway on my way home from work and all a sudden the check engine light came on and the car shut down and the rpm dropped. I couldn't steer or anything. There was no warning or nothing luckily I was able to drift slowly to the side and there wasn't no serious accident. I restarted my car and it drove normally after this incident but check engine light stayed on then again today on the 24th of December I was driving to the store and the same thing happen but again good thing I was in the far right lane to pull over. . . Im not a rocket scientist but this isn't safe to drive my car and especially while I have my kids in the car, something bad can happen.

49 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2013

As I was driving my car shut-off and started back up on it's own when I was starting from a red light. Going up the next hill it did it after stopping at a stop sign. Over the next few days it would do this at different times and different speeds. At times it would not start back up on it's own I had to turn the key. Eventually, it starting shutting off at the garage I sent it to while being run on machines. It turned out to be a computer problem that required a new computer be put in. I am filing this incident because for the 2007 model of the same car there was a recall and free replacement of the computer. I have been told by an Chrysler maintenance worker that the reason the 2007 was covered was that the sub-contractor for that year was participating with Chrysler to pay for the recall or paying it themselves. However, the sub-contractor for the 2006 model was not. I believe Chrysler is responsible for their end product and should pay for my new computer and installation. This work cost me over $2,100 for a problem that they knew about. My mechanic was told by one Chrysler dealer that there just have not been enough 2006 models with the 2007 issue to warrant a recall. They even provided the Chrysler mechanic to install the computer and reset it for the shop I had the work performed.

52 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/24/2013

I'm writing this because I believe that these 300s with hemis are death traps waiting to happen and strongly feel that a recall is necessary. It's happened about 8 times since we bought the vehicle in July, 2013 but the latest was last week, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at about 11:30pm. My husband, my 6 mo baby, and myself had just filled up the gas tank on our way home. We were making a right turn out of the gas station and onto the main road, when the car went completely dead. The engine shut down and the steering wheel locked up. My husband had to put the car in park and, after about 3 attempts and a good 20 seconds or so, he finally got the car started. It spurted a little but started to move. About a mile later, we were pulling onto our street, when the car died again and did the exact same thing. Lucky for us there weren't many cars on the street and everyone was alright but this is not safe! this has happened in the middle of the day when oncoming traffic was going full speed, at least 45 mph!! someone can die! after this latest incident, I've refused to drive the car due to it's unreliability and our car is currently at the dealership and has been for the past 2 days-going on 3. It took the service manager 2 days to figure out it's a faulty gas tank and that's after we told him about the NHTSA investigation, action number: pe13016, which just ended, February 10, 2014. Apparently, Chrysler extended it's warranty to cover gas tanks for a lifetime but, not for all Chrysler 300s! we are being charged $1,905 for our gas tank to be replaced, which should be eligible for a lifetime warranty on our fuel tank but I called Chrysler today and they told me that there is no extended warranty attached to our VIN. Please help before someone gets seriously injured and recall all gas tanks or at least extend the warranty to cover more, if not all Chrysler 300s!!.

53 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/29/2013

All equipment on the dashboard shut down for about 2 minutes. Even though I know I was going somewhere around 55 mph, and trying to stay with traffic, I could not tell my speed, the rpm read zero, the gas level read empty, and my speed read zero. Then all the dashboard lights came on and all was normal again. This repeated maybe 4-5 times in a row. Off for about 2 minutes, on for maybe a minute, then back off. We have experienced all of this happening momentarily (maybe lasting a second) since we bought the car used 1 1/2 years ago. Dealership could not get it to happen for them, so they could do nothing for it. This issue has now escalated to a point that I feel it could be dangerous if it continues, or gets worse.

56 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/02/2012

57 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 04/18/2012

I have contacted Chrysler corp customer service about a few of the safety issues I have experienced with my Chrysler 300 limited. No heip! I have experienced the gear shift getting stuck in drive. After going onto a Chrysler forum where many other 300 customers experienced the same thing I found a quick fix to allow me to drive the car to a local repair shop using a screw driver. Long story but yes I had to stick a screw drive into the gear box to release the car into drive and out repair cost $175 I was informed my VIN wasn't a part of the recall! next issue the cooling fans in front of the car. I was getting some food at drive thru. As soon as I drive in line I heard a loud bang one of the fans mounts became loose and the fan blades hit to side wall and broke. $500 later to replace and yes again there was a recall for that but not my VIN!!!! final straw my son and I where driving home from a game it was raining. Both of us notice the smell of smoke coming from the vent it was faint but consistent. We luckily didn't have far travel home. When I pulled in and turned the car off I opened the hood a lil bit smoke and because the rain was hitting the engine it made a lil bit more of smoke. So I closed it and went inside. The next day I noticed both the passenger head light and fog lights weren't working. I checked the fuses, good. Went up to get replacement bulbs. The employee at the store had a hell of a time trying to removing the light from the harness. We noticed that the plastic was melted and dis colored. When I got home I got a look at the fog light harness it was factory fogs and the harness was melted black plastic. So I had to order replacement fog lights and head lights $475. Im thankful we where blessed that the car didn't fully catch fire because no amount of money could replace my son!! there is 3 more electric issues at this time!.

60 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 03/13/2012

Our Chrysler 300c has stopped running while driving at least 10 times over the last year or so. On freeway and city streets. It usually starts back up once your stopped. My wife is afraid to drive it anymore. It is a very scary situation. No engine, no ps and no brakes. No code or check engine light. Everyone I have talked to with a 300 has had the same problem, no matter what the year or engine. Like most there is no sense taking it to dealer. They just say no code and give you some bs story about what caused it. No come up with a fix. Chrysler knows they have a problem and won't man up and fix it. They would rather someone die first to save money. It has to be in the computer. Just like Toyota and their fly by wire throttle that was causing all the crashes. What is the public suppose to do if they won't step up.

61 Electrical System problem

62 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 12/21/2011

Owner of Chrysler 300 and have taken car in every 3,000 miles as instructed by service center at dealership where I bought it. It appears dealer was notified may 27, 2015 about air bag but never called to put me on alert . Took the car to the dealer once I got the recall notice and was told it would be 6 to 8 working days. Called on day 9 and it wasn’t in. Told them I need the car for appointments and to go to work. Was told to call Chrysler in detroit about that problem. I will call dealer once a week until fixed. In the past I’ve requested a check on the sun roof and they never got the person out to check it. Said it was expensive. Asked them to check trunk because when it rains or after car washes collapses and slams shut. I was told, “there’s nothing wrong with it. ” has gotten me in the head twice. I’m pulling service receipts to check other problems. Radio goes bing bing when I turn it on and continues for a while after the radio comes on. Answer from service dept: "never heard that before". Gps system won't work. Tried to use it and it sent a message: check the disc drive (words to that affect) tried to check disc drive and can't get it to open. Button is frozen. Tow truck driver was out to charge a battery in another car and heard the tick tick going on in the Chrysler. He said take it in . . . He lost an engine because he didn't. They fixed it once and told me I got it in just in time. It's ticking again. Car appears to be in a total state of failure. Fix its: plug adapter 7-19-13; lever shift kit (car won't come of park) 7/19/13; adj tire pressure rating - $10 for technician 1/26/13; replace right head - rocker arm inlet and exhaust 12/21/11; $640 for 30,000 mile checkup and flushed engine; never once told me there were major problems. 66,254 miles.

64 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2010

Vehicle was parked in garage. Had been driven home at 11:30p. M. And woke up to fire in the garage at 1a. M. Entire home and contents were lost. We had to jump from 2nd story windows to escape our home. Fire department and fire marshals felt that fire began in the garage and found it undetermined, but told us that they felt strongly that it was the vehicle. We contacted our insurance company with info we found online that stated the braking problem was being recalled. They stated that they had no information to pursue. Car was also a total loss. Is there anything more we can do to find out why this recall #06v149000 was never sent to us? had we known we would have parked the vehicle away from our home!!!! and would have gladly taken it in for repair that was needed. Lisa edelbrock ricker.

68 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2006

I just purchased a Chrysler 300c back in July. I had to return to the dealership 4 times for the ez-up window on the driver side malfunctioning. They stated to me that Chrysler knows about the problem but don't know how to fix it. Every time they reset the computer, the window works for about 3 days then stops working. This is getting annoying to me.

69 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 10/04/2006

I recently purchased a new Chrysler 300m (limited edition) 2006. Weeks after purchasing, the engine stalls and then resumes while driving; the engine shuts completely off while stopped; and, the engine, after starting it once it has shut-off, would not go in the appropriate gear shift. The vehicle was taken to the dealership 6 times and the problem still exists. I have been without my vehicle close to 2-months. Every time they have returned my vehicle, it has to be returned for the same cause.

70 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2006

My 2006 Chrysler 300 with 6800 miles on it has been in the shop twice for the a/c and has not yet been fixed. After traveling for a distance, a/c stops blowing cold air. The first time it went to the shop, they did not detect anything and told me to bring it in when it is accruing. The second time it stopped, I drove straight to the dealer with it not working and they still told me it is not giving any code to tell them what is wrong so they cant fix anything. They agreed with me that something is wrong, but they could not determine it. So I have a new car with an a/c that just stops when it wants, and I am just supposed to deal with it as they will say.
