Noises During Shifting problems of the 2007 Chrysler 300C

One problem related to noises during shifting has been reported for the 2007 Chrysler 300C. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Noises During Shifting problem

Failure Date: 05/20/2008

Intermittent delay when shifting from reverse to drive, the delay can be up to 7-8 seconds during which time the car doesn't respond to throttle inputs. There is also a low rumbling noise that occurs when operating at low speeds when the engine is at idle. The problem becomes a danger when backing out into traffic or performing a three point turn, because you never know when you will end up stuck in the middle of the road unable to move with oncoming traffic bearing down on you, I have almost been hit countless times. The car has been to the dealer three times and they keep getting the same fault codes indicating a failure to communicate between shift module and transmission. Their solution has been to change the same part a shift module three times which has required them to keep my car for extended periods after which they inform me that they think the problem is fixed but don't know.
