There was no instruction to check/inspect battery cables that were "buried" behind r/f wheel fender well and below engine. When inspected, they were so corroded, that both had to be replaced at significant labor expense which would have been negated by normal preventive maintenance instruction procedures.

2 Battery Cable problem of the 2000 Chrysler Concorde

Failure Date: 05/27/2003

The vehicles battery light illuminated at 65 mph then the engine died. The dealer stated that the battery cable shorted out between the battery and the alternator.
