Ignition Problems of Chrysler Concorde

The contact owns a 1997 Chrysler Concorde. The contact stated that he can remove the key from the ignition without placing the vehicle into park. The dealer stated that the issue was repaired in 2004, but has recently recurred. The contact will check with the manufacturer for assistance. The failure mileage was 96,000.

Sudden acceleration. Vehicle took off at a high rate of speed without warning. The brake was pressed to the floor, the car thrown into park, the ignition was turned off before the car would stop. Poles were knocked down, a retaining wall, trees, and a transformer damaged.

: the contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle, the key would not turn in the ignition. The dealership was notified and they suggested putting the vehicle into park before attempting to start it. The vehicle was put into park and still would not start. No repairs have been made.

Car has popping sound around left front wheel,all but one window is off track and cant use. Have to bang key on end to get it to turn ignition over. Car shakes when braking. Wont stay in alignment. Uses oil from first day we bought car. When windows did work they snapped shut loudly. This is a smooth riding car but has way to many problems. Also the tv cable broke and had to be replaced which was the only component that wasnt covered on the warranty. Kinda strange since the car wont budge without it. . I am sorry I ever bought this car. I am paying for a vehicle that will be trash by the time it is paid for.

While driving 65mph vehicle stalled and died without warning . Dealer has inspected vehicle and was not able to deteermine the cause or correct the problem. The problem occured twice and the dealer could not find the cause.

Intermittently the vehicle shuts off without any warning, loss of all safety features (power steering).

While driving at 55mph suddenly loss of power occurs, then engine shuts down, check engine light appears, rendering power steering and brakes inoperative, no prior warning.
