One problem related to trunk lid has been reported for the 1999 Chrysler LHS. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The piston that holds the truck lid open or up failed. The trunk on this model is very heavy, so it dropped very fast. My wife was unloading some luggage and only just was able to pull her arm out as the lid fell. Had it hit her, it would have broken her arm or possible severed a hand or fingers.
