1 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 02/25/2008

I have Chrysler Pacifica that has a bad transmission problem when shifting and sometimes the rear brakes will lock up. I took it to a dealership for repairs and was told to bring it in only when you get lights on the dash other than that it is normal. I'm currently waiting for a tuning valve to be replaced in the motor. I'm now experiencing problems now with the airbag light coming on and going off. I was told again by a service writer it was normal until it comes on and stays on. I bought the car in January 2008 and it is now March it has been in the shop for repairs 4 times for the transmission and twice for the brakes and a total of 15 days and running. I have called Chrysler care several times and have sent them a letter and their response to me is keep taking it back for repairs the car has 34,000 on it now and still has factory warranty left on it. I'm afraid to drive it and have it sitting in the driveway because the dealer is waiting for the parts to come in to repair it. Please if there is someone at Chrysler listening call me. . .

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 08/10/2007

Just two weeks before the abs sensor light came on (at 38000 miles), we had the car serviced for faulty power seat control. The seat started to adjust on its own, the message stated that there was a problem with the memory selection. However, we had not programmed seating positions. In fact, we didn't have the keypad! the abs sensor came on suddenly. I was driving at a low speed of around 30 mph. I heard a rolling noise and felt the rolling or scrubbing underfoot. Two weeks after that I began to hear the sound without engaging the brakes. We've had problems from the beginning. The servicemen couldn't find the problem when we presented it less than a month after purchase. Then, another arose. Then, another. Unfortunately, the value of the vehicle is far less than what's owed (depreciation), and I feel "caught between a rock and a hard place. " will someone make good on this?.

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. The dealer stated that there are two sensors in the seat that could not be repaired or replaced because that is how they were designed by the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 28,000 and current mileage was 46,000. Updated 5/19/08 the consumer also coplained about wind noise. Updated.

4 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 08/06/2005

I bought a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica in July 2005, and the passenger airbag turns on and off randomly with my wife in the front seat. She weighs 100 lbs. Chrysler has checked out the seat, and Chrysler says it is normal, given my wife's light weight. Chrysler says that the airbag shut off is for my wife's protection. However, she does not change her seating position to cause the airbag to turn off. I can't see how this airbag can be characterized as normal if half the time my wife is protected and half the time she is not. In which mode is my wife safest? she either is safe or she is not safe, but Chrysler can't have it both ways. I think this is a defect in the passenger airbag system in the Pacifica, and Chrysler is not making any change to this.

5 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem of the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

Failure Date: 03/10/2005

In the 15 months that I have owned Chrysler Pacifica the air bag warning light on the dashboard has come on four times. In three of these instances the car was on the highway going a high rate of speed of 65 mph. The fourth time involved in-town driving. In each case the light stayed on until the next time the engine was turned off. I have brought this to the attention of the service department. They have checked it twice for codes. However, they tell me that no code has been recorded or that the system has erased any code that might have been recorded. The dealership has told me that there is nothing they can do to find out what the problem is or to fix it unless I bring it in when the light is on. This is almost impossible to do since it happens randomly, no-where near the dealership and not at a time when I can just stop and run my car in for service. They also told me that the air bags will not deploy when the light is on. I am very concerned for my family's safety since this has happened several times, and we could easily have been involved in an accident during one of these prolonged times when the airbag warning light has been activated. I am also concerned that the people who should know how to fix the problem can't seem to do anything without a computer diagnostic which they can't get unless they catch the problem as it is occurring.
