My vehicle has no back up camera or blind spot warning. Took to dealer for recall and they said they were only responsible for a software update and not solving the recall problem. My vehicle still does not have either of these functions. I was told I would have to pay for the repairs for this recall.

My Pacifica completely shut down. All the warning lights came on such as crash detected, abs light, and the windshield wipers came on. The vehicle was towed to the dealership that I bought the vehicle from. They completed a hard reset of the vehicle, and I took it home. Two days later it did the same thing all the lights came on, but it allowed me to drive it to the dealership. Still waiting to see what they think the problem is this time.
I periodically receive a warning when the transmission is placed in reverse that the “camera system is unavailable”. Sometimes the camera works and sometimes it doesn’t. The internet is replete with many similar occurrences of Pacificas across several years of manufacture where the camera operates intermittently. This is a serious safety issue and I am very surprised that there appears to be no recall notice. To correct this issue. Information on the internet implies that this issue is related to a computer glitch and a software update of the uconnect system may be required. Clearly, Chrysler should be responsible for correcting this design deficiency. Unless the camera fails completely as a result of an impact or age, is shoulfpd be available 100% of the time.

For the most recent recall, the rear view camera has not been working since August 2024. I’ve been to the dealership 3 times, once in August and twice in November and they cannot resolve the issue. They told me that they’ve sent information to Chrysler and they would contact me in a few days and I have not heard back. This is a huge safety issue as my rear view display is not visible, it’s either a blue screen or grey screen. I need help please.
The backup camera and rear collision warning randomly stops working. I put the car in reverse and there are just blank lines on the screen. Somethimes the screen resumes a normal display when I shift out of reverse, and sometimes the screen just stops working.
The uconnect 4 infotainment system is consistently rebooting every 2-3 minutes, leaving several safety measures for the vehicle from being used during those times. This leaves risk that the safety feature is not usable when needed for example rear warning for small child behind vehicle is not operable. As well the navigation system is not working appropriately and has the vehicle always located at a street that I am no where near. This leaves risk that it will be a distraction to driver to locate their whereabouts in unfamiliar areas. Also not able to use hands free system for mobile device when the system is continuously rebooting as such and therefore would not be able to make call for emergency assistance when needed. Fca us llc has been provided many complaints about this yet continues to ignore that this is a wide spread issue and is nationwide. Therefore they fail to extend the warranty related to the uconnect 4 infotainment system and render thousands of people having to cover the cost of their faulty uconnect product.

The affected component is the backup camera and warning system. The malfunction happens in a loop around every 3 minutes. My safety and that of others is put at risk when the backup and rear collision warning fails to function and negates backward motion visibility to the driver by such failure. There are no warning lamps currently or any notification of any failure in the car. I have taken the car to the dealership and they have found no issues.
Reverse camera screen remained on after reversing and during a ~30 minute drive. Stopped vehicle, shutoff engine, opened door to trigger interior electronic shutoff. Restarted vehicle and backup camera still remained during drive until eventually changing to full blue screen with "camera system unavailable" message at the top. (photo available) the event occurred during extreme winter weather in oklahoma 1/30/2023 and is an obvious safety issue. The constant rearview display while driving is very distracting and disorienting. Additionally, the vehicle climate control settings for defog, heat, and other settings are unavailable for determining and adjusting to external environmental conditions, as experienced during the winter weather event leading to full interior fogging and reduced visibility (another mechanical safety issue prevalent to this vehicle series). This issue is found under NHTSA campaign 19v886000 for 2018-2019 year models however, our VIN is not included. I contacted the original dealer service department, and they informed me of no related recall for our specific VIN as well. I contacted fca/Chrysler customer service in reference to recall ve2 as indicated in NHTSA recall 19v886000 and informed no recall as well and no other assistance or direction. Our vehicle VIN should be included in the recall.

On more than one occasion when I was on a four-lane highway with no vehicle in front of me in my lane, while I was passing a slower moving vehicle in the outer lane, my vehicle slammed on the aes brakes and would have absolutely caused a crash if there would have been a vehicle behind me. That person could have no possibly reacted fast enough to prevent his vehicle from rear-ending my vehicle. Again, there was no one in front of me, only the vehicle in the outer-lane. As far as the rear-cross-traffic problem, my vehicle is one that is missing Chrysler's sphere and rear-parking-assist because of the chip shortage. There aren't any sensors in the back bumper at all and I'm not sure what triggers the rear-cross-traffic alert, but it does not alert until I've backed up so far from my parking space that if there was a car coming quickly it would surely hit me. This system does not work any where as quickly as any other car I've had it on in the past.

On 06/10/2022, the uconnect system began to randomly reboot including within 30 to 60 seconds of starting the vehicle. If in reverse during a reboot of the system , the rear cross traffic sensors no longer provide alerts and the rear camera is disabled while the system reboots. The system then reboots every 2 to 4 minutes after. Additionally, the gps no longer accepts coordinates for navigation, clock or date.
While reversing out of driveway with 4. 3 deg. To 5. 5 deg. Down slope, car stopped with rear in street while displaying an apparent rear collision symbol. There was no cross traffic and a car parked along the curb on passenger side was not encroaching on driveway. Car then refused to move either further back to complete the street entry maneuver or forward to re-enter the driveway. Car was left in a dangerous position part way into the street and blocking sidewalk. Car could not be moved until ignition was turned off for 10 seconds, then turned back on. At that point car was first pulled fully forward into driveway, then successfully backed out into the street and driven off.
The infotainment system would crash and freeze, causing the backup camera not to be visible on the center screen when in reverse.
