I only purchased my vehicle 1 year ago. The first month I had it, I tried to have it inspected and was told my sub-frame was rotted. I contacted the Chrysler company and there were no recalls. I contacted the dealer and they wouldnt help me. My check engine light is on because the O2 sensors are bad and now my power steering is leaking and I was told the steering rack is bad. I've also had to replace my inner and outter tie rods on both sides and also replaced the sway bar links. I am a single mom with 3 kids and this car has been a huge burden on me financially. I made a huge mistake buying a Chrysler.

There are multiple occurrence but the start of the problem was 1 week after I purchased the car. 5/6/14 I replaced the tires left front axle along with the front struts and strut mounts, check engine light on came out for emissions system small leak changed the gas cap. Fine till June then I had to replace everything over again check engine light on again same code p0455 changed purge solenoid, along with the right axle. Fine again till August by this time check engine light is back on now changed the nvld pump plus replaced everything over again struts, strut mounts, along with the rack n pinion, front lower control arms both sides, outter tie rods. Once again fine then October rolls around I take it back in because it acting weird steering wise plus the check engine light is on again same code p0455 now I change out the canister, along with everything over again but the axles they are still good. Now November rolls around and everything is at it again check engine light is on p0455 they want to replace the fuel lines now. Also the 4 motor mounts are broke again my engine is almost ready to fall out. Now they are finally telling me after $3400. 00 that this is all caused by the rust and corrosion on the undercarriage. My subframe and frame have holes in it, the rust is actually making it's was inside my car now. I went to fix a flat tire and when I used the emergency jack I pumped it 1/4 of the way up and boom it went right thru the frame. My alignment keeps throwing it self off because it can't hold the front suspension in place. The strut mount housing looks like another few bumps and it will go threw. Accident: 1st wk Nov '14 I was driving down the free-way luckily doing 45mph and I went to steer my car to the right and it kept going straight and scraped the k-rail. Mechanic said the the bolts he put back into the sub-frame keep falling out because of the rust.
Was driving down highway at 55mph, with my niece in the car with me when the car started to pull to drivers side the pulled to passenger side. I slowed the vehicle down to under 40 it was still trying swerve and pull. Scared me and my niece. Has been clunking since about six months after I bought the vehicle in 2008. . Spent over a grand on new tie rods, suspensions, when I took it to different dealer for Chrysler vehicles where a technician told me to stop wasting my money, they know there is clunk and dont know how to fix it. I emailed and left message for Chrysler with no respinse. Looks like they know how to fix it but Chrysler wont stand behind their product and fix the problem till someone dies and the families of the deceased have to sue the company, seriously! stand behind your product, I dont think I will ever purchase a Chrysler vehicle again and will inform all friends and family todo the same.
The right front wheel completely disconnected from the tie rods so there was completely no steering. I was turning from a main road to a side road going approximately 15 mph. I am including a repair bill from a Chrysler-Jeep dealer and I feel this incident was a factory defect with the vehicle at this low mileage to come apart. I therefore would appreciate to refund my expenses $1,279. 90 plus $45 towing expense. Updated 3/31/cn.
Driving around 40 the vehicle started to shake. I thought maybe a wheel bearing or tie rod was the issue. Upon taking it to the shop to get checked I was told that the engine cradle was rusted to the point of almost failing. I am currently having the cradle replaced. Had that occurred at a higher speed I hat to think what may have happened. I called Chrysler and was told there is a replacement program for vehicles built between Feb 23rd and mar31st 2004. Because my vehicle was built January 23rd 2004 it was not covered and I received no letter. Despite the fact I was driving a vehicle with the same problem in a very dangerous state. There should be a nationwide safety recall.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while having maintenance done on the vehicle, the technician advised that the front passenger and driver side tie rod did not have any grease fittings. As a result, both tie rods needed to be replaced. In addition, the contact mentioned that all four wheels were corroded causing air to escape. The vehicle was taken to the an independent mechanic. The technician decided to use a power brush to clean the wheel and applied a rubber sealant. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure and current mileage was 22,000. Updated 5/9/13 the right and left outer tie rods were replaced.
On March 20th 2012 I was driving home from work when the driver side strut mount broke, slightly allowing the strut to damage my hood and break my inner tie rod end. I immediately parked the vehicle called aaa and had it towed to my house. On March 23 I purchased a new strut mount and on the 24th replaced the broken one with the new one. Unfortunately I did the work myself and didn't notice my inner tie rod broke. Which led to my vehicle needing to be checked by my mechanic about 8 months later when my outer tie rod end gave way damaging in the process the wheel bearings and the driver side axle. I had everything fixed and ran into no more problems until July 17th 2013 when my front end alignment started to slip and a noticeable knocking noise started coming from my front end. I immediately set up an appointment to have my vehicle serviced at kelly Chrysler dealership in lehigh valley and they were able to get me in a week later. It took them roughly a week to fix my car. But they replaced my upper engine mount, front lower engine mount, l/f inner outer tie rod ends and removed a damaged exhaust shield. But they still couldn't' tell me why my alignment was off and what the knocking noise was. Towards the end of August my passenger side strut mount broke and I had it replaced right away. Then again in November this time completely ripping through the hood. Then again in February, March and now today 5/7/2014 I noticed the passenger side strut mount is on the verge of breaking again. After speaking to a couple of Pacifica owners in my area I have come to find out these problems are common along with engine shut offs and check engine lights being on for no reason. Its apparent that the 3/8th inch thick plate that the struts sit on are not adequate enough to handle the weight of the vehicles along with the constant jerking motion off the car from the sticky gas peddle.

2007 Chrysler Pacifica with 38829 miles need to have both outer tie rod ends replaced. My wife and I are the first owners. I feel that the miles on vehicle are to low for such damage and very close to the basic coverage or the intent of coverage. I will be getting it repaired at my local Chrysler dealership.
When I had my car in to fix a front end problem last year I was told two of the three motor mounts need to be replaced. Now when having a tie rod replaced I am told subframe brackets are rotted and need to be replaced. A car that is five years old should not be rotting from normal driving. Engine mounts on a car should not go after four years.

Car fights steering.
Front end had a knocking sounds, brought he veh to the dealership and they told me the tie rod ends were "loose" they tightened them and then told me I needed to purchase 4 new tires, because the two front ones were ruined by the alignment being off due to the tie rod ends. This is a veh with approx 27,000 miles on it. This should be covered under warranty, has anyone else had the same problem. If the tie rod ends are coming loose after 27,000 miles what else will fall off the vehicle???.

Had to have my 2004 Pacifica state inspection done, it failed inspection for the front right tie rod. The mechanic showed me that it was completely woren out and the whole wheel shook back and forth. This put my children in danger everyday. There is no reason for this to have worn out.
Right front inner tie rod end was found to have too much play to do an alignment after replacement of tires. No parts available. Quoted $1500 for service by Chrysler. Vehicle has 53,000 miles- no way major suspension components should be in need of replacement. Tie rod end not replaceable by itself- entire steering arm, tie rod ends and steering box must be replaced at a parts cost of over $750!.
At my 3 year NY state inspection (30k miles+/-) we were informed that the tie rods would not pass safety inspection. We luckily had 1 month left on the warranty & chyrsler replaced the one side in question, but would do nothing on the other side.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. While turning approximately 20 mph she heard a popping noise around the wheels. The failure recurred whenever she would make a turn. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who was unable to diagnose the failure. The tie rods were replaced but the failure continued to occur. The failure mileage was 1,000 and the current mileage was 80,000. Updated 2/01/lj the consumer also stated the accelerator would stick at times. Updated 03/21/11.
: the contact stated the rear control arm fractured. It was driven on the faulty control arm to an independent repair shop. The vehicle was inspected by the mechanic and repaired. It was taken for state inspection and failed due the inner tie rods needing replaced. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection or repairs.
It was found via NY state inspection at aprox. 27,000 miles that the right front tie rod end was worn to the point of near failure which would have the potential to cause the front right wheel to fall off. I was advised to not drive the vehicle at all. Vehicle was towed to Chrysler dealer for repair.
Failure of left outer tie rod end (worn and excessively loose) was discovered when car was being serviced for strange front-end noises. Service department indicated that the car was unsafe to drive left outer tie rod end had to be replaced after only 18,911 miles.

Front tires bounce from one to the other. The consumer spoke with Chrysler corp about the incident. While switching lanes the vehicle began bouncing from one tire to the other the other vehicles slowed down arond the consumers vehicles.
