Transmission Noise problems of the 2000 Chrysler Sebring

One problem related to transmission noise has been reported for the 2000 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Transmission Noise problem

The contact owns a 2000 Chrysler Sebring. While driving between 45-50 mph, the contact heard a loud rattling noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. Unexpectedly, the vehicle began to steer in one direction without assistance. The contact was required to exert greater force to turn the steering wheel. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and resumed normal operation. The vehicle was inspected and repaired by a certified mechanic, who stated that the failure was related to the tie rod ends. The tie rod ends were replaced on two separate occasions and recently failed. In addition, the contact heard a loud noise coming from the transmission when accelerating. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 28,000 and current mileage was 65,700.
