While driving transmission completlt locked up with no warning causing car to skid to a stop.

37 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 09/11/1998

Windshield wipers work intermittently. Also, while driving vehicle would miss repeatedly down the road. Consumer stated it was transmission.

38 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 02/01/1997

While driving at 65 mph vehicle jumped from drive into reverse at high speed, causing the consumer to hit a house sideways. Dealer stated there wasn't anything wrong with vehicle, and dealer can't determine the problem.

Transmission would not shift properly.

Failure Date: 12/12/1995

While driving any speed, especially at 55 mph or greater, transmission downshifts into 2nd gear, nearly causing a dead stop/ loss of vehicle control.

While driving at highway speed vehicle dropped into second gear and suddenly jerked. Vehicle had to be driven in 2nd gear the rest of the way. Dealer has not seen vehicle.

Vehicle would jerk into high gear very hard due to faulty transmission. Transmission has been replaced twice, and currently jerking hard from low gear to high gear.

While driving the hub within the transmission broke, preventing the vehicle from going into second and third gear. Consumer has contacted dealer. Dealer noted that due to the problem transmission needed replacing. Please provide any further details.

While driving at any speed automatic transmission suddenly drops into second gear. When this occurs rpms rev up to 3000. Although the manufacturer is aware of the problem, a remedy has not been found.

Consumer called complaining about transmission problems. In a time frame of two years transmission has been replaced twice. Manufacturer was contacted, and stated that there was nothing they could do, and advised consumer to call the NHTSA to place a complaint. Also, dealer contacted, and advised consumer to call the manufacturer.

While driving at any speed and without warning transmission blewout, causing a distraction to the consumer.

47 Automatic Transmission problem

Transmission is leaking from the o-ring seal and is slipping when changing gears. Dealer has been contacted.
