Three problems related to check engine light on have been reported for the 1996 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Engine stalling and missing at different speeds, engine service light also comes on; no problem can be found.
Engine stalling and missing, also engine service light comes on. Also rear brakes were grinding combined with surging when slowing to a stop.
When driving at approximately 35 mph and exiting off highway on dry pavement, engine shut off. Driver was able to coast to a safe place. No indication from engine check light. Oil pressure light came on. Unable to start the vehicle for 1/2 hour. Dealer contacted, and stated they are unable to duplicate the problem.
