Entire fuel tank had to be replaced due to normal wear and tear. Fuel tank assembly repairs were done. Two years later the fuel tank was leaking, repair work done at consumer's expense.
The vehicle caught fire back by the fuel tank, the flames were coming from the tires on the passenger's side.

Consumer had a leakage in the gas tank since purchase of the vehicle. Area dealers have serviced the vehicle on five occasions with no remdey.
While at the dealer have another fuel system related recall done the consumer informed the technician that she noticed a small leak coming form the fuel tank, but ir only occurred when the consumer fill the tank up. The consumer was hoping that the recall was going to correct the problem. Upon inspection the technician informed the consumer that the leak was coming from the tank. The consumer found out that the tank is made of plastic and sits low to the ground. The clearance between the tank and the ground is about 18 inches.
The plastic gas tank has collapsed, causing the tank not hold the 20 gallons of gas that is required to fully fill the tank .
Fuel tank and seal failed.
Fuel leakage is occurring due to warping up near the top of fuel tank where the sensors are located, causing a fire hazard. Please provide further information.

I have had this van worked on due to recalls 3 times and with the latest recall # 895, I also have a complaint about the fuel tank leaking from the top in checking other customer complaints , it appears that there at least 50 or more such complaints . Something needs to be done before someone gets seriously injured.

Transmission disintegrated with parts sent through case, wipers have had persistent problem with turning on with no apparent cause, gas tank was replaced due to recall, but still shows empty at 16 gallons.
There was a fuel odor when the gas tank was full, consumer was informed by dealer that the vent tube on top of the gas tank was cracked and the entire tank needed to be replaced.

When gas tank is half,or full when parked on a hill the gas tank leaks . Tt.
Consumer states vehicle is experiencing a small gas leak, there would be small drips left on the parking lot ground, eventually it became worse and consumer was only able to fill tank 3/4 full.
