Two problems related to car will not start have been reported for the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler town and country. While driving at approximately 25 mph, the vehicle stalled and the entire instrument cluster illuminated for a brief moment. The contact also stated that the vehicle did not start after turning the key in the ignition switch. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the bcm, fcm, and ipm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 62,483.
1. Car will be running, and while driving, the dashboard gauges will stop working or jump around erratically (speedometer,rpm). Dashboard warning lights will turn on and off intermittently . Headlights turn on and off intermittently, power doors or locks do not work when trying to enter or exit the vehicle. Vehicle will not start, will start 20 minutes later when you try again. 2. Problem happens in intermittently. Drive a short distance and turn the car off (gas station). When you try to start again, it won't start. Sometimes it will be a few days between problems,other times it is every time the car starts the gauges will go haywire. There are different warning lights that come on each time> you never know what is or isn't working. This has been happening for a few weeks now. 3. Taking the vehicle to the dealer to get checked out.
