One problem related to gas recirculation valve (egr valve) has been reported for the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving at low speed in a residential area (less than 20 mph) on a very hot day, the engine suddenly stalled out and all power lost while driving, twice within 5 minutes. I was not low on fuel. The first incident occurred while turning left at an intersection on a steep downhill, the second incident occurred within five minutes on a slight 20 degree downhill/straightaway. Each time, I was able to turn the key in the ignition to restart the engine, which restarted promptly. I took the minivan to the dealer within the hour who could not find any error codes on the computer check.
