My traction sensor is not working which is causing my a safety issue. When I start driving (in motion), the abs traction starts even when there is no water, ice or poor driving conditions. The dealership replaced the abs module and its still doing it. They now say they will have to replace the sensor in the steering column (wheel). This is very scary as it stops my acceleration and it affects the anti-lock breaks. I was hoping this was all due to an minor auto collision but the insurance company told me there is absolutely no way this could have been caused because of it. They said its a coincidence and that it just happened on its own at the same time. I would say the fault is unknown.
Vehicle shuts off randomly while in motion on city streets going between 10 - 30 mph. The recall (r03) for this problem has been done and the shut-offs still happen. Unknown fault or problem. Several diagnostics done over the past 2 years, all to no avail. Engine tune up with plugs performed. Map sensor replaced. No error codes. Help us!!!.
Brakes on 2008 Chrysler town and country prematurely worn at 23,000 miles. Brakes were inspected by an authorized dealer at 19,200 miles during a routine tire rotation and no notification of worn brake pads was given. At approximately 22,000 miles we began to hear a light grinding in the front right wheel during braking. We took the vehicle into an authorized dealer at 23,600 miles for inspection of the grinding, which had gotten significantly worse. I was notified that the brakes were down to metal on metal and the rotors were too far gone to resurface. Authorized dealer replaced the rotors, brake pads, and flushed and replaced the brake fluid at the owner's expense of $575. This appears to be premature for pads to go to metal on metal at only 23,600 miles with no prior notification. There was no warning of worn brake pads such as a wear sensor or indicator which causes a squealing in the brakes on most vehicles. First indication that the pads were worn was when the metal on metal sound was heard.
