Car Will Not Start problems of the 2013 Chrysler Town & Country

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, instrument panel illuminated as the vehicle was turned on however, the vehicle failed to start. The contact attempted to start the vehicle several times using the push to start and manual start feature however, the vehicle failed to start. The contact had the vehicle towed to south oak Jeep Dodge ram Chrysler (4550 Lincoln hwy, matteson, IL 60443, (708) 747-7950) who were unable to identify the cause of the failure. The dealer started the vehicle and the contact drove the vehicle to the residence. The vehicle failed to start the following three days. The contact had the vehicle towed back to the same dealer who was then unable to restart the vehicle or identify the cause of the failure. The dealer informed the contact that at times the fuel pump seemed to be running without the vehicle being turned on. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.

For weeks car would not start in the mornings before work or after being parked for several hours. Car battery needed to be boosted/jumped in order to start, after a few weeks of this battery drained, bad battery (had to purchase new battery and told this was the issue. ) even with the new battery car would not want to start after being parked a few hours or overnight, especially in very cold weather. Car cranks but not start until after several tries of turning would start to run then shut off after a minute then would start after a few times of stalling or turning off. Car has stalled and/or refused to start several times with my children in the vehicle leaving us stranded a few times and inconvenient and unsafe for my 4 and 5 year olds, especially my 4 year old who is a type one diabetic. Car has had difficulty accelerating and has stalled on major streets and highways and I have required roadside assistance on three occasions in the last two weeks concerning this issue that I have taken my vehicle to three different mechanics and all say the fuel pump relay and one said possibly the fuel pump or fuel pump relay and there is a history of this issue with this vehicle and there have been recalls in 2012 concerning the same issue and part the fuel pump relay, however there has been no recall for the 2013 town and country yet the Jeep grand cherokee and Dodge ram already offered recalls for the same issue and year. Many people with the 2013 town and country are experiencing the same issue with the fuel pump relay and we should be offered a recall as well for this faulty part which is dangerous because it can cause a vehicle to stop and /or not start at anytime.

On September 2018 while driving on the highway my 2013 Chrysler town and country started stalling notice that it was losing power I barely made it home when I try to open side doors notice that none of the power side doors wouldn't open they were stuck we can't open the doors and once we turned off the van it wouldn't start we thought it was the battery so we got a new one, but the battery wasn't the problem. Because when we connected the battery it turned on but once again we shut down the engine it wouldn't start again. . . We notice it started making a noise and losing power and the engine shut down and it wouldn't start again so we decided to disconnecting the battery so we can see if it would turn on the next day and it but so that it what we have to do everytime we would go somewhere. But than we started having problems with the transmission it started failing so now we are also having to deal with the transmission. . . All this is driving us crazy never had problems with my other 2 to van's that we bought before, but this one is a lemon if its not one thing it's another last year we had problems with the engine had to take it in to the dealership and now all this electrical and transmission problems I actually don't know what to do. . . . Please help that is my only vehicle to get to work.

Every three to five days the vehicle will not start. There is a constant 2 amp draw on the battery. They kept the vehicle at the dealership for almost two months. The tipm module, win module, right door module and radio have all been replaced but none of these things have fixed the problem. The problem can not be resolved and you have no idea when this electrical failure is going to occur.

Car will not start sometimes no shut off tipm issue no recall yet.
