Failure Date: 12/05/2004

Consumer's 3 years old child was able to put the key into the ignition switch, start the vehicle, and shift it out of park into drive without applying the brake pedal. This caused the vehicle to crash into a tree. Upon impact, both frontal air bags failed to deploy. There were no injuries to report. The dealer and manufacturer were notified.

Failure Date: 03/25/1999

The pin that is attached to the retainer clip slipped and scarred the aluminum, causing a leak in the tranfer case which may cause a fire and engine problems. Please provide further information.
