To whom it may my 2008 Chrysler town and country caught fire last Friday in my garage. When I woke up to bring my kids to school I noticed the back part of the car was burned in the car was filled with smoke. I immediately called the fire department once they got there they noticed the car was cold, that the fire had been started, and put itself out, in the middle of the night. The fire inspector came as well, and determined it was an electrical fire from the rear speaker, where my daughter typical sits. My car is a total loss. Likely we would not hurt, the fire was right about the gas tank! I'm wondering if this is something I could file a case on or if you can direct me to someone who handles cases such as this. As far as I know, according to my insurance company, price I was not going to help me out even though it was a manufacture error. Any information you could provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Description of accident ~ van slid on ice, hitting a mailbox. Both the upper and lower airbags exploded with a ¿pop-like sound, similar to gunfire, emitting terrible smoke and sharp debris, which smelled as though the car caught fire. Noticed several holes punctured as the airbags reached their maximum capacity, showing large burnt-like holes. Both my daughter and I were in the car. She was in passenger¿s seat, with her backpack in lap, which saved her from injury, thank goodness! unfortunately, my legs were pinned in vehicle, burnt and cut by the airbags & debris. Upon the ambulance¿s arrival, we noted that my daughter¿s safety belt needed to be cut, since it would not release for her automatically. She was cleared through the paramedics to head on to school. The paramedics stated that I may have blacked out for a bit, and felt that I most likely had whiplash. Their other concerns were the major pain in my left shoulder, and noted the need for me to be seen by a doctor right away. I was driven to the hospital. To date, deep bruising is still extremely apparent, along with being painful. Major scaring remains on both legs due to being burnt and cut. My shoulder and back of neck continue to throb, along with acknowledgment through my doctor¿s referral, within chiropractic care. He indicated through an x-ray, that I have nerve damage in the back of my neck, which causes pain and numbness throughout my right arm and hand. The van was declared ¿totaled. Please note: pictures of both damage to my vehicle, along with bodily injuries are available. I would be happy to discuss any further details with you. Thank you so very much for reviewing my information. Should you need any additional information, kindly advise.

Passenger seat belt notification not working properly. Drove all the way across town before passenger realized she had forgotten to buckle her seat.
The contact owns a 2011 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the rear seat belts did not restrain the passengers due to the position of the shoulder strap. The failure and current mileage was 20,000.
On 4/9/12 I was involved in a serious accident that resulted in my daughter obtaining a severe traumatic brain. She was in critical condition and is now severely disabled. The back curtain airbags did not protect her and did not appear to work properly. I believe that the vehicle was not properly examined after the accident. The car was a rental vehicle and my family was out of state on vacation. Due to the severe injury of my daughter I believe that the airbags failed.

The bolt attaching the right hand 2nd row passenger seat belt to the floor came lose and detached the seat belt from its anchor point to the floor. The fact that the bolt fell out means that the seat belt can not function to prevent personal injury or death in the event a crash were to occur.

The seatbelts of my 2006 Chrysler town and country do not lock. The dealer told me when I purchased that they would if I was in an accident in came to a quick stop. Today me and my three children were in an accident and they did not lock. My oldest is no longer in a car seat or booster and was wearing her seat belt which did not keep her in place the same with my middle girl who is in a high back booster seat wearing a regular seat belt luckily my youngest was in a regular car seat with a harness. We were very lucky that nobody got seriously hurt but it really does scare me that theses seat belts are not doing there job!.
The front right passenger seat belt does not lock or click in place. I researched recall number 04v047000 and learned there were similar issues. Contacted the dealer and was told that there was no recall on my particular vehicle. This appears to be more of a manufacturer problem and a great safety risk. The dealer just took my info but offered no assistance.
The front passenger seat belt alert system does not function on my new 2011 Chrysler town and country limited. I hadn't noticed this fact until a passenger commented in surprise that her seat belt was not fastened. This was at the end of a drive across town. I contacted the dealer immediately, and the service manger informed me that Chrysler found in manufacturing that this passenger seat belt alert did not work correctly, so they disabled it in software. He further said that if or when a software update becomes available to fix the problem, I would be informed of the fix.
Today my 2008 Town & Country driver seat belt automatic locking retractors stop working. The seat belt do not return to the original position . All the belt is out from the device and do not retract back. The seat belt is unoperating. I buckle up because I don't want be stop by a police, but in case of an accident is nothing to protect me. I visit efird dealer in florence SC but they want to charge $170 for lavor and $109 for the part plus tax. I concider this problem with the seat belt retractors is a safety issue that need be address without any cost to the costumer. I appreciate your assistance in this matter. Thanks.

Seatbelts do not lock. You can pull on them and pull on them and they keep retracting.
This vehicle has flawed seatbelts. It unhooked during the crash and flew in the air, landed in the squarepants family yard then came back up and landed on a 1995 Plymouth magic wagon that rolled away at principal brown's house.

2003 Town & Country seatbelt harness breaks off from side of the car without any car impact. Car was parked. Had there been a forceful impact, I think driver would have been thrown through the windshield. Inside portion of plastic piece that houses the screw that is screwed into the side has hairline cracks.
Seat belts don't work if you pull them out as fast as you can they don't stop. Even while driving.

Since I have purchased my 2008 Town & Country I have had the same repetitive problems. Sliding doors not working properly, radio doesn't shut off when key is out of ignition, van turns off while driving, brakes and rotors replaced three times, and most of all car not starting! when the key is in ignition I turn to start and it makes a clicking sound but doesn't turn on. I would have to wait several minutes to half hour continuously trying until car starts. I have video taped each incident for the last 3 years showed to dealership and they still insist nothing is wrong with vehicle. I have alerted Chrysler corporate and filed a complaint July 2014.
Seat belts "lock up" on my 2006 Chrysler minivan. This problem happens occasionally - possibly 4-5 times in the past 12 months. The seat belts will neither retract nor advance but are instead locked in place. The belt ultimately seems to "correct itself" after a few hours of sitting. The problem is exclusively to the seat belts in the middle row captain chairs. Yet this is where my children sit. In the past, we have needed to move their car seats to the rear to belt them in. I asked the dealership when it first happened in 2008 if this was covered under warranty, the dealership indicated it was not and we would have to pay to get it fixed. The last occurrence was December 2009.
