Turn Signal Flasher Unit Problems of Chrysler Town & Country

The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the turn signal indicators on the side mirrors failed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician diagnosed that the blind spot module was broken. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware failure. Sometimes left turn signal will flash and sometimes it will not. Dealership is not able to duplicate this problem.

Consumer noticed turn signal is not loud enough for a hearing impaired person. Vehicle is unable to include a device to inable an impaired person to hear when needed. Consumer believed a volume control device could be helpful. Dealer contracted and no postive response received.

We purchased a new vehicle assuming that the lights would be at least the same as previous vehicles. Upon taking the van home and driving it at night. We noted that the dash and door switch lights weren't functioning. We went back to the dealership and looked at another van (assuming that it was a 2003) on which the lights did work. We took the van in to the service personnel to have the lights repaired, but they told us that these lights were no longer functional on the 2003 vans. We have notified the dealership owner and Chrysler's telephone complaint line about this. The answer to our complaint has been that Chrysler "decommissioned" the light function for cost savings. I consider this a convenience and safety concern, since you must fumble around in the dark to find the switches or to turn on the vehicle lights. Dt.
