The recalls associated to my vehicle are the same exact problems I am experiencing. My car is stalling and stalled on the highway. I couldn’t accelerate and had to drive with my hazards.
My 2008 Dodge Avenger airbag light has been on for a while, I believe that’s something that is defective and should be fixed by the manufacture. I’d called a dealership and was told it was not a recall and therefore not covered. When the wipers are turned on in the morning and then turned off, they continue to wipe even turned off. When I use the right blinker, the light in the dashboard dims seems like an electrical problem. I believe other things might be wrong but I’m not a mechanic. I would like my car to get inspected for safety. Thank you.
I was idling at a stop light when I noticed my car began to smoke shortly after the check engine, check oil and the battery alert all simultaneously came on. I then pulled over to a near alleyway when a burst of flames arose from the hood of the car.

The contact noticed there was smoke coming from underneath the hood. The contact's father lifted the hood and removed the positive charge cable from the battery. The contact's father replaced the battery and the alternator; however, the failure recurred while driving. The contact's father replaced the alternator for the second time. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign numbers: 08v152000 (electrical system) and 07v426000 (fuel system, gasoline) however, the dealer confirmed the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 255,000.
Car keeps have the battery light come on out of nowhere and already replaced battery alternator and the cables for battery last winter which then had to be clipped because it was extremely hot and melting my cables and other wires. I have had nothing but electrical issues since I bought it the beginning of last winter something needs to be done and I shouldn’t have to keep paying for parts on faulty electrical and parts the manufacturer should and I have no recalls on my 08 Dodge Avenger how is that even possible?.
The voltage constantly reading low we have bought a new battery new alternator and still reading the same thing battery constantly coming back on and staying on than all the lights starts popping up on the dash than the car cuts off many Dodge users said it turned off to be there pcm and I feel that Dodge needs to do a recall.
I bought the car pre-owned. I knew almost immediately that there was a electrical problem because the inside lights would come on when I would break. I've had non stop problems with the car and until now I didn't know it was a recall problem. My gear shift linkage has went out stuck in gear. My water pump has gone out . It's overheated on numberous occasions smells like a electrical fire happening. The car won't start it stalls out all the time at least two times a day. The website says that my car has already received the recalls but the exact problems they have listed are the exact problems I'm having and it's a safety hazard for real. They told me I was going to have to pay to get it fixed since my car already received the recalls. I don't think this is fair I think that if they "fixed" it then it shouldn't be a problem now but it is so it seems like the "fix" didn't work I need help being pointed in the right direction of who can look at this and really fix it please.
I have been having issues since I bought the car about my battery dying even though it's been replaced twice. When jumping car it will drain whatever is charging it almost completely. Or it won't properly connect. Lights keep coming on on the dash even though it keeps being read and it always leads back to the battery or a wiring issue I looked into the recalls recently and noticed one of the recalls for wiring are causing the same issues I'm dealing with. I checked the VIN and it says 0 unprepared recalls. I don't know if there's ever been a repair of the issue or not. Whatever is going on is exactly the same as the recall. Hopefully we can get this sorted.
Engine stopped during a red light intersection, cranked up once and engine stopped again. After a dangerous intersection situation , car was towed by a pair of young boys to a safe spot. A serious accident may have resulted, if not for the quick help. Being an automotive teacher and passed shop owner inspected the situation and have come to a conclusion that the tpim failed. No warning lights appeared during situation. Scanner will not pick up any codes when hooked up to try to correct problem. 2008 Avenger with 88000 miles, will take to dealership for repairs.
My has stalled twice and my cruise control is not working.

Sometimes when its raining or snowing when my car is on at least once during my trip my car will turn off either when I'm at a stop light/sign or when I brake to make a turn. I can sometimes tell when its going to turn off because the car sputters (I dont know how else to describe it). Ex yesterday on my way to work it turned off as I was at a stop light so I turned it off and back on more more issues on my 10 mile trip. On my way back home (car sat in the rain all day) my car turned off as I was leaving the parking lot of my job. When I say my car turned off I mean it loses all power so that when I press my gas car doesnt go anywhere I have to turn it off and back on to continue my trip.

Every time car is started and driven it stalls and/or will completely cut off in the middle of traffic. The fuel tank also has the gas light on and says the car has an empty tank when in fact the car has a full tank. (on going issue).
I was driving along the freeway and the car just automatically went into limp mode. I change the oil I flush everything then when I went on to the kelly book blue book to try to sell it as saying that it had a bunch of recalls welcome to find out Chrysler saying it doesn't so I don't know what's going on with my car and neither do mechanics.
As I was traveling 65 mph down hwy 411 in centre, al my car (2008 Dodge Avenger) completely shutoff. I could barely get my car over to the side of the road due to the steering wheel wouldn't turn. Thank god it was 11 p. M on a Thursday night because if it would've been during the day this hwy is very busy and I could've caused a wreck and harmed myself or someone else. After I got on the side of the road I tried to start it back up a few times and it finally started back up but it wouldn't stop turning over until I cut it back off. Then I tried to start it again and it started but every light on my dash come on. I put it in drive and tried to drive it home but it wouldnt go over 15 mph. I had several vehicles run up on the back of my vehicle and I was actually afraid for my safety. When I got it home I shut it off and it wouldnt start back up. I then tried to start it back up the next morning and the electrical throttle control light come on and I still cant go over 15 mph. This should be a safety recall because I couldve been hurt bad or worse.
I was driving down road after filling gas tank car starting spitting, gas hand floating up and down, light flashing,.
On 3-31-19 me and my 2 daughters were driving on expressway, I started smelling burning and seen smoke coming from hood on driver side of car, it appeared to be coming from the engine under hood and pulled to side of road. I turned car off and I told kids to get out and we walked down expressway. I told kids to stay there and went to walk back to open hood and check it, on my way back to it, it had started on fire. I went back to my kids and called police. Within ten minutes the whole car was engulfed in flames.
Electrical issue. Odometer drops from 65 mph to 10 mph on the highway. Lights flicker . Abs light comes on during all this also. Enigine stalls on occassion. Loss of power to engine. All this happens at highway speeds!!!!!.
In motion at random times my electronic throttle control light will flash at the same time I lose all power at any speed. . . . . From coming into my driveway to highway speed 40-50mph to interstate speeds 65mph I was with my very I'll mom who has to travel with medical supplies and equipment and when she is in an accident, and left unable to get to her set destination, would suffer and did finally today . . . . We had to sit parked for longer that she medically is able to because of this problem with the electronic throttle control. It should be recalled & resolved before someone in my car, or myself, gets hurt or killed. I have had my Avenger since February - March 2009 and today is December 2018 and it has happened for over 2 years to me just because I am still alive, don't mean it shouldn't be resolved. Again, this happened before I got to the mileage I am now and is still happening. My airbag light stays on and I don't know if it would even work. . . . . . , if I was to impact from the loss of power that's caused from, the etc. Please recall & fix this.

Wednesday October 10th 2018 approximately 10:30 a. M. I was on my way to smoothie kind in cooper city located inside of a plaza. As I turned into the parking spot with my foot already on the brake to slow down into said parking spot the vehicle accelerated on its own. I pumped the brakes once nothing stopped the vehicle and it went over the medium between parking spots and hit a unoccupied vehicle on the left front. Then stopped just before hitting a tree. I'am not sure what happened but their seems to be an electrical malfunction because my mileage has disappeared since.

I was driving when I noticed the red lightning bolt light come on on the dash. Then the check oil light came on (and I don't need an oil change) . My tire pressure light had been coming on that day, I assumed bc it was colder that day. As I was driving I was getting into the left turn lane and as I got to the end of the lane and straightened my wheel I noticed I couldn't really turn my wheel. Once I got the green arrow to turn, I put my foot on the gas and I wasn't moving. I turned my hazards on put it in park and turned it off when I noticed my car was already off. I started it back up and the lights on my dash went away and it was fine. I've also been noticed the past couple weeks that my car revs up whenever it feels like it. I'll be parked and the car will rev up or I'll be driving a steady speed and my car will just speed up. Sometime even when I'm braking to come to a stop my car will start zooming forward.
Car dies periodically sometimes 4 to 5 times in 3 miles other times it may go 25 miles and not die. Most of the time it cranks back others it has to sit for 5 or so minutes. Shows no codes in the computer could it be the module in the ecm?.

Throttle body control----car will jerk and begin to lose power while driving. You will not be able to drive over 30 mph. Within a few minutes, you will be stranded on side of the road.
I've already had to replace the power control module (pcm) once just a year and a half ago, and now I have to replace it again and my car has been out of commission and sitting at a mechanic's repair shop for almost 2 months now after fixing other things first before finally determining it was the pcm again. Car will not rev above 2. 0 rpm and is in "limp mode" with the service engine light along with the lightning bolt symbol present on the dashboard.

I believe it has something to do with the tire monitor system. I have been taken chances, hoping that it will go away like it started. My repair service can't fine the problem and said to check for recalls. These unsafe conditions have been going on for a while. Help needed.
Have been having many issues with windshield wipers stop working all of a sudden and sometimes do not work for days. With no warning windshield wipers will stop in the middle of the windshield and stutter. While attempting to rotate wiper switch they may move a little and if you turn them off they will continue to stutter across windshield. Sometimes they work normal. I have been doing a lot of research and this issue is all over the internet. Chrysler apparently refuses to admit there is an issue with a faulty tipm. Today I experienced a total power failure while driving. Everything stopped working while driving. . . . No wipers, turn signals, headlights, brake lights, instrument panel. Pulled into a parking lot after almost getting rear ended while turning. Turned car off restarted a few times and then everything started working except wipers. Someone is going to get killed if this issue is not addressed!!.
