Power in vehicle began to drain 47 miles from my house going 60 to 75mph after going 75 to 80 mph temperature out side is about 50 degrees. The car acts as if it were going to stall the radio power went out. After that I tested to see if it were the lights still worked and upon turning the lights on all lights in the car dimed completely. I went 28 miles to my appointment with no accessories on to include the heater. And radio would not get power until sitting for 30min. On the trip retuning home 30miles in to my trip returning home going 60 to 75 miles highest speed for 20miles of the first 30 miles the car power started to drain. Just took it to big o tires today and was confirmed no battery issues the battery is in good condition. I have to spend $100 to do testing now. It is winter here I can not risk my life in a car that can not operate in the cold or after only 44000 miles acts like it will not operate. It happened before at highway speeds last year when I hit 35000 miles. I did some research online that this has happened in warmer climates as well at 55000 miles. Please look in to this I no longer trust my car to drive 75mph on highway. And I dear not go 75miles away from home if it can't take a 150 mile trip its not worth paying of a car last check the loan is $11,000. If the problems were known the car should have never been resold by any dealer. If I was not able to use another car I would be more upset than I am now this car is only good for an elder to go to the store and back. I wont be using this car outside my city limits its not safe.

Whenever I have the lights on, radio on, fan blower on, and I'm stopped at a light in drive mode (automatic transmission), the engine shakes and dies. It's almost as if the car is experiencing computer overload. Too many things going on for the car to handle so the computer crashes causing the car to die. The car always starts back up. No indicator lights go off on the dash. It only happens occasionally under the above mentioned circumstances. If you add on the front & rear wipers same thing happens. I've had it checked out at 3 different places, paying and for free, and they all tell me they could not find anything wrong with the car. This is a serious safety issue especially since I have a baby in the car. I have aaa and road side assistance through my insurance but they always take an hour to get to you. I've never had to use them because the car always starts back up again. This car needs to be recalled because other wise the car functions normally as long as I don't have the lights on, radio on, fan blower on, and I'm stopped at a light in drive mode. If you put it in neutral sometimes the car wants to stall but it doesn't always prevent the car from shutting down. Read lots of complaints about this model, similar issue.
Well, I have a few complaints with my vehicle. I have had to replace the same control arm on the front drivers side twice(once at 55,000 and again at 80,000) and have only had the vehicle since 2009. I have complained to the dealership many times about my driver's seat belt coming undone while both hands are on the wheel driving. The service department at parkway told me I wasn't hooking it in correctly but being 26 years of age and always using a seat belt I wonder if I have been doing it wrong all along and if I was, wouldn't this problem happen every time I hooked the belt instead of at random? you would think they would want to fix the problem before they get sued from someone dying from it unhooking while in an accident. My latest problem is with the passenger side window, I was headed to a friends house with the windows half up and when I went to put the windows all the way up, it wouldn't go, it went down, and the passenger side button did not work either, needless to say, I had to park in the parking garage and tape my window when I got home to leave it parked in the street because I only have street parking. Thank you Dodge for making me with I would have stuck with gm.

My 2007 Dodge Caliber has experience a pulling in the front end that started after 3,000 miles. The car has been at the shop 3 times in a time period expanding approx. 6-12 weeks. The dealer working on the car could not achieve success after three attempts. The car is now at another dealer who has had the car over 48 hrs with no response to the front end issue. The car now at 7400 miles as a front brake "jatter" and is at the dealer for this as well. Also, the car's rear washer fluid nozzle leaks at highway speed and the stereo's sound will distort suddenly without warning. I am beyond upset with how much problems I have had on a 19,000. 00$ brand new automobile. I do not want to believe that all Chrysler vehicles have this kind of issues. I also wanted to believe that my problem was minor and would be just fine once it was fixed. However, the problems just keep coming. I purchased a new car in good faith that I received dependable transportation. I don't think I have gotten the fair end of the deal. I would be a happy customer if daimler Chrysler refunded my money on this car. In trade I will purchase a new Dodge 1500 pickup. I feel like if daimler Chrysler will take care of me, I will be a happy customer who will continue to purchase their products. I don't want to take my business elsewhere but I will do what is needed.
