Ignition Module Problems of Dodge Challenger

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that the ignition key could not be removed from the ignition switch causing the battery to drain. A locksmith was called to the scene and the key was removed. The contact indicated the the vehicle had experienced several electrical failures while the key was stuck in the ignition switch including the vehicle stalling while being driven. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer tallahassee Dodge(3987 w. Tennessee st. Tallahassee FL) who replaced the ignition switch module. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 124,000. Jft.

Tl the contact owns a 2010 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to marino Chrysler Jeep Dodge (located at 5133 w irving park rd, chicago, IL 60641, (773) 777-2000) where it was diagnosed that the win module of the ignition switch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair fees. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in a recall for the ignition switch and referred the contact to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 101,000.

The car stalled while it was stationary I had it towed to Dodge and they said the fuel pumps we're bad, got fuel pumps changed car still won't start. The lights in the interior won't come on, the doors locked and unlock out of the blue, the key is stuck in the ignition. My VIN shows recalls but there are other recalls for yr mk and model but not listed under my VIN however my vehicle is experiencing the same issues.

There was recall for this failure 10v200000 (electrical system) however this vehicle's VIN was not included. The vehicle failure mileage was approximately 128,003. Kh.

I contacted Chrysler today to see about alternate transportation 800-853-1403 and was told that none was being provided at this time and that our vehicle was safe to drive. This is an irresponsible response, considering the items listed above in the recall such as electrical fire and failure for the vehicle to operate and control abs etc. During driving. I informed the Chrysler representative that this was not acceptable to put our family member behind the wheel and that this was Chrysler's burden to repair in a timely manner or provide transportation. We cannot and should not have to pay for a vehicle that is unsafe to drive. Other people go on to drive their recalled vehicles, only to have accidents and unfortunately death due to these recalls; (recent Chevrolet ignition issues etc. ).
