Wiring Problems of Dodge Challenger

Tl-the contact owns a 2019 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated that when backing up his vehicle to park it jolted backwards. Then several indicator lights came on including the service shifter,service transmission, service engine, and the park car and turn off the engine. The gears were stuck in the park position and the engine was still running. The dealer bravo Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of alhambra 1100 w main st, alhambra, CA 91801 (626) 283-5212 refused to help tow the vehicle. Two days later the dealer called back and asked the contact to pick up the vehicle and said there was nothing wrong. The contact picked up the vehicle and the same issue occured with all of the lights flashing. The contact stated the steering wheel was hard to control and recored the event. The contact slowly drove the vehicle back to the dealer. Three days later they found out there was a tracking device. They did not inform the contact at the time he bought the vehicle back in 05/2019. The tracking device destroyed the wiring in the vehicle . The dealer stated that they were going to remove the tracker and repair the wiring. The contact had informed the manufacturer and he was given a case number. The dealer finished the repairs and the contact retrieved his vehicle on 01/04/20. The same issue occured again while the contact was driving and he almost got into an accident. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The dealer test drove the vehicle for an extended mileage for over 100 miles . The issue occured again during the test drive. The dealer stated that the entire wiring system had to be fixed. The contact no longer wants to lease the vehicle and stated that fact to both the dealer and manufacturer. The failure mileage was 5,750. Tf.

Tl the contact owns a 2014 Dodge Challenger. While at a stop, the contact's vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was damaged and towed by the insurance company to an independent auto body shop in pittsburgh, California. The body damage was repaired. A few days later, while driving approximately 72 mph, the vehicle shut down and several indicators illuminated on the instrument panel, including the seat belt, air bag, and check engine. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic who referred the contact to antioch Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram (925-778-9700, located at 1810 auto center dr, antioch, CA 94509) where it was diagnosed that the wiring inside the driver's door was not connected, causing the contact to use the remote to unlock the vehicle. The technician replaced the wire and the contact was able to utilize the push button to unlock the vehicle; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 56,931.

While parked and the car was turned off, I noticed that the driver side window would go up and down over and over and later on kill the battery. This has been a complaint and issue for several Dodge Challengers even from 2011. Some individuals have to leave their window down just to avoid this issue. I have read that it is Smart window motor issue with the wiring. This is not normal wear and tear and encourages theft and issues with starting up my vehicle.

Car has been to dealer 3 times so far for failure to start. Car will crank continually but never start. Eventually the car will shut itself off. Pcm was replaced on first repair. Car ran fine for a few days and then the problem resurfaced. Car was brought in again for repaid and the tipm as well as some wiring was replaced. Car ran fine again for two days and the problem resurfaced. Had the car towed back to the dealer but upon receiving the car the dealer said the car started right up with no issues. The dealer had the car for two weeks in an attempt to reproduce the failure with no success. Car was returned to me with a suggestion to call them directly the next time it fails to start.

The vehicle stalls while driving,pulls right,satellite radio goes out. It has had a tipm and two computers in addition to two wiring repairs along with gas in the oil. There has been four oil changes in less than 3 months along with four tire rotations. The car has been in the dealerships for over thirty five days and out of service for over sixty days from February 2014 to in the shop at present July 28th 2014. I have been lied to . Assulted and left in unsafe conditions along the highway in 110 degree temps. Left without transportation and I an an american on disabilities as I have stated to Chrysler and need my car for medical reasons. Last week I cold not get my medications and went into a serious medical condition causing admittance to the emergency room at the local hospital because I had no way to get my medications. Auto nation did over $2000. 00 damage to my vehicle at the first repair.

Vehicle was parked, with all power off, windows up, doors locked. Passenger rear quarter panel marker light shorted and caught fire, resulting in charred paint, melted light assembly, melted wiring, and melted rear bumper.

Cruise control would not work, airbag lights coming on multiple times . Taken to dealer / shop for repair . Cruise control works now. Still problems with airbag lights coming on at different times and different rates of speed. Has been to dealer multiple times (at least 4 times) for airbag is sues. Dealer has had seats out of car etc. To repair / replace "airbag sensor" / "wiring harness", . Airbag light still coming on when it shouldn't. Just really concern with this issue that could turn out to cause a fatality. Vehicle mileage is at 13,150.
