Other Fuel System Problems of Dodge Challenger - part 2

For some reason when the vehicle is filled with gas something underneath the back seat is leaking to where it causes a puddle of gas under the back seat and also drips a puddle outside the vehicle near the rear passenger tire. In all my years of owning vehicles never had gas leaks. I called dealer and they said they've never heard about but I looked it up online and there are hundreds of people with the same issue. Most are speaking of it leaking near the exhaust. I'm not the one to complain but I'm just speaking on something I know is not right! the odor is very strong inside the vehicle and any gas leak on the outside of the vehicle can't be safe. Thanks.

5. 7l engine with 6-speed transmission has an engine knock/tick since the I test drove it Nov. 2015. 1 cylinder head, both camshafts and lifters have been replaced under warranty but the engine tick persists during startup and while driving.

On September 30th, I drove home from work which is a 22 mile commute. I arrived at home at approx 8pm and parked my car in the garage. At about 8:40 I heard a loud boom but was unsure where it came from. About 10 or 15 minutes later I heard the fire trucks and a neighbor banging on my door. Black smoke was coming through the locked garage door. The fireman unlocked and opened the door, the engine and structure was on fire. It took about 20 minutes to put it out.

This is my third complaint to safercar. Gov to update the public on my 2015 Dodge Challenger nightmare. I have new and important information. 1: executive Dodge told me it was the valve body of the transmission that was the issue and was looking forward to fixing it for me on 05 15 2015. This is a Friday. On that Monday they consult with the nameless faceless star team and they tell executive Dodge's licensed on site mechanics that my transmission had normal operation. Executive Dodge refuses to work on the car. 2: I call another dealership and the valve body and installation total $1,500. 00 for a 2015 Dodge Challenger valve body, installed. 3:I feel that once executive Dodge diagnosed the vehicle to be faulty they had a duty under the law to fix it regardless of what Dodge stated. They should of stood up for me--. Because I bought the car there and there are other issues with the same car same model same year on this web site. 4: Dodge has offered me a $400. 00 payment [one car payment] as an apology for my inconvenience. 5: this web site has failed to update the number of complaints listed against this car. I have made at least 3 and there is at least one other for the same issue. 6: how long can this transmission shuttering and lag and bucking occur before the transmission breaks altogether?.

There has been a r07 recall on the fuel rail on my Challenger hellcat for months. . Says its undetectable and must be completed. . Says it may leak at any time and could catch fire. My service dealer cannot get me the part. . They claim its a non orderable part . . Its a auto replenish. The dealer where I purchased several hundred miles away has a part but will not send or sell it to my service dealer because they wont get a replacement sent unless they use it. . Its been several months now and ive put 5000 more miles on my car. . Every time I get in I wonder if it will catch fire this time. . . Every time I get behind someone whos car is running rich I think my car is leaking raw fuel and pull over to check. . A potentially dangerous situation. Srt is no help in getting me my part. I now carry a fire extinguisher with me at all times.

High speed/acceleration/and casual speed stalling. Freeway speed causes stalling/buckling hesitation, the engine light will go on, and the car will continue to reduce speed until it is stopped/off. After a short time (up to two days), the engine light will go off before I get to the service center, which leads to the dealership telling me "if we cannot re- create the problem, then we cannot fix it. " the problem has happened over 10 times, and has now progressed to happened with a casual/ or isle speed as well. The level of severity has also increased as well as the time frame of the stalling.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Challenger. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v114000 (engine and engine cooling, fuel system, gasoline); however, the recall part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The car leak gas if I put more than 10. 00 in it. .

Was driving down the freeway and at approximately 75 mph, vehicle's engine failed and all systems went dead. Luckily I had enough momentum to get off the freeway and into a safe area. After being tested by mechanic, he said the edm had a stored fault with the camshaft sensor however no current faults. Camshaft sensor was still replaced and car would still not turn on. Mechanic told me he read several stories of all wire harnesses being replaced and even edm being replaced however problem still continues to persist.

5 days after purchasing a brand new challanger, while on the way to work the engine light came on and about 2 minutes after the car shut off while in the carpool lane going bout 63 miles/hr. The car was reading about 200 miles to empty. The fuel sensors /pumps were not working and had to be replaced. At idle it runs rough, was compared to like vehicle the idle is not correct. The mileage per gallon is way under the advertised. Advertised fuel economy showing 21 mpg combined city/hwy. We get about 16 mpg city/hwy. We had nothing but trouble since we purchased the vehicle and no one is taking responsibility for the issues as the car seems to be a lemon. We had it in the shop 4 times now. We purchased a brand new car so that we wouldn't have issues. Very upset, frustrated, unhappy.

The vehicle stalls while driving,pulls right,satellite radio goes out. It has had a tipm and two computers in addition to two wiring repairs along with gas in the oil. There has been four oil changes in less than 3 months along with four tire rotations. The car has been in the dealerships for over thirty five days and out of service for over sixty days from February 2014 to in the shop at present July 28th 2014. I have been lied to . Assulted and left in unsafe conditions along the highway in 110 degree temps. Left without transportation and I an an american on disabilities as I have stated to Chrysler and need my car for medical reasons. Last week I cold not get my medications and went into a serious medical condition causing admittance to the emergency room at the local hospital because I had no way to get my medications. Auto nation did over $2000. 00 damage to my vehicle at the first repair.

The vehicle caught on fire while driving. The fire started in the right front side of the engine compartment and quickly consumed the vehicle completely. The vehicle was not presenting any problems before the incident and no warning lights came on. The vehicle stalled and caught on fire. It was extremely difficult to come out of the vehicle. The estimated travel time before the accident was approximately 45 minutes. One important fact is that the vehicle received a service at the local dealership flagship Chrysler of toa baja pr 00949 under service order # 129395. The service included a 20 point inspection, the change of fluids to include transmission, differential, power steering, service the injectors, and efi throttle system. The dealership released the vehicle from the service department on 4 Nov 2013 and caught on fire on 10 Nov 2013.

Etc light flashes constantly and the car doesn't respond to the gas pedal very well. I've researched the issue and many complain there is no right fix other than replacing the etc.

2012 Dodge Challenger going 10 mph in parking lot, turning right into parking space, car accelerated by itself, and stuck itself at full throttle speed, brakes failed, power steering failed. Car hit and went up on concrete barrier. Bounced back, stalled.
