1999 Dodge Dakota applied brake and vehicle pulled to the left*** 2nd car from document number 10195900 the consumer stated when the brakes are applied, the brake pads wear, and pressure was being placed on the lugs/slide bars. The consumer also stated that it was also quite possible the brakes could be delayed from engaging because the backing plates are not able to ride up and over the wear spot. The consumer stated when he attempted to apply the brakes a delay in braking occurred, followed by a slight shudder, then the wheel locked up. The vehicle didn't stop and consequently he rear ened another vehicle.
Pulsating, shaking in brake. I have had to replace the rotors and pads numerous times. Pads and rotors never seem to last as long as they should. I have replaced my stock rotors with cross drilled rotors, and that seemed to help for a little while. Eventually they warped as well.
Consumer applied brakes when approaching a stop sign. The pedal went all the way to the floor and vehicle keep rolling. Consumer pump brakes several times, then the "anti-lock" and "brake" warning lights illuminated. The functionality of front brakes was partially restored. Dealer diagnosed and replaced front brake pads and turned rotors.
