Failure Date: 08/13/2003

While driving at any speed, intermittently steering wheel locked up/ brakes failed, and turn signal was not working. Dealer had inspected vehicle 3 times; firs t time battery cable, second time dealer kept vehicle 1 day and could not duplicate the problem, and third time installed a monitor for ten days, and still couldn't correct the problem. (dealer stated this wa san electric issue.

2 Battery Cable problem of the 2000 Dodge Dakota

Failure Date: 08/01/2001

Noticed noise upon starting in morning. Found battery cable that goes to starter had came in contact with power steering pulley due to cable not being in retaining clip. Replaced battery cable assembly. Upon replacement old cable was found to have been cut by pulley into the copper wire about 1/6".
