The manufacturer sent a third party to fix an airbag recall. Before the third-party technician touched my truck for the recall, both my horn and cigarette lighter worked. Now, after their repair, neither works. Therefore, something they did caused an electrical fault. I advised whoever sent the technician and they said they would send the guy back. No one will answer my calls and no one has fixed my issue.

I was going to work and the transmission started slipping when I had cruise control on, and then when I got to a stop light my truck started revving and wouldn't move. When I put it in neutral it wouldn't roll either. It just kept on revving and screeching. So I out back into drive and it jerks. Also my trucks rear end locked up and wouldn't roll in neutral while the truck is on. You have to keep the truck off and then put it into neutral to roll it.

Air bag light and engine light comes on and off. Headlights, break lights, and blinkers keep going on and off while light switch is on. Rust on body due to clear coat peeling. Steering is sometimes hard to do even with full steering fluid. Shifts hard. Brake fluid has leaked. Coolant has leaked, along with heater core that dealership had me pay a lot of money for replacement in 2022. Vehicle hesitates to accelerate to higher speeds. Windshield wipers do not fully touch windshield towards top. Air compressor makes rattle on/off sounds.

My 2002 Dodge Dakota sometime will not go into park. Other times it will jump out and go into reverse. This has caused my vehicle to roll backwards and destroyed neighbors mailbox. To get it into park takes several tries. I now must use my parking brake anytime I am parked.

My truck has a white panel that's fading out, turning black. The instrument panel is getting hard to read. Pretty soon I won't be able to see how fast I'm going, how much gas I have, any important gauge's that I need to be able to see at night.

Driving in our lane on a city street going 40 mph as a vehicle tried to turn into a gas station, crossing our lane right front of us and they did not have enough time to make the turn. To avoid a full blown head on collision, I swerved and we hit front driver side vs front driver side. Going 40 mph, and the speed of the other vehicle and my air bags did not deploy, that being my main concern why they did not deploy with the speed being considered and hitting front on.

This truck has a problem with the window regulator on all doors. We have had to replace them each two times. The window will fall down and window regulator will just snap. He has replaced and does not know what to do. This to me is a safety hazard. He has bolted the windows shut and will be stuck closed. He says it's a plastic regulator that snaps. Anyone know what we can do to remedy this problem.

This 2001 Dodge Dakota comes up with code p0601 it says it is a memory check sum error. It comes on intermittent in cold weather. If you clear the code it might come right back or it might stay off it is annoying sometimes it messes with the abs making the front right brake hang up.
Extended cab doors will not open which makes it impossible to access tire changing tools. Looking on the internet, I've discovered this happens to many Dodge Dakota extended cab trucks. Vehicle was stationary.
Vehicle will shift gear mechanically, but will not shift into neutral and/or park on the dash. Vehicle also will not start as a result.
This one simple part effects so much and it is unsafe that this part affects so much. You guys offer it but its close to 1400$. Why is it so much? this would be vehicle number 2 within a year of each other having something bad go wrong it makes it unsafe to drive. It effects my fuel mileage, brakes, spedo and tach go crazy, headlights flash, problems with communicating with transmission, and it keads to the front controle module. My cruise stopped working and it worked before. My key fob has issues unlocking and locking takes like 10 button presses to work. I like your trucks but this makes it unsafe I cant even let my kid ride in my truck with me.
Takata recall exhaust manifold gasket fail over time and allowing more fumes and engine noise door pins none replaceible and wear out over time cause door damage.

The dashboard is falling apart with sharp pieces falling inside under the dash which may cut wires or even the air bag. It is very brittle. It can be moving or stationary.
My engine turns off while driving. I cannot restart the engine until I have stopped, shifted to park, and cycled the ignition to off. The engine stalling started as a low/slow idle condition, and now has escalated to cutting off at full acceleration while merging into expressway traffic. This has happened on several dates. I am selecting the date of my last remembered occasion.
Hello my I am disapointed this is the 3rd cam shaft sensor ill have to replace after much research this is a common error on whoever designed this in result car can shutsown while driving leaving you with no control or perhaps when starting vehicle willll not stay running why isnt there a recall to fix this poblem for intake manifold.
Hello, I recently purchased a one owner 2005 Dodge Dakota, which has less than 35,000 miles and has been very well maintained. The car fax came back clean for accidents etc, but I have found, that both the front and rear sections of the chassis had to be replaced on driver and passenger sides and most of the front suspension had to be replaced too. Due to excessive deep rust. To the point of the nut holding the left outer tie rod end disintegrated. The straight side rails of the chassis are excessively deep rusted. As well as the oil pan and rear axle housing (which are original). The dealership had to cut off the front suspension components and replace all bushings and most of the front suspension components. Due to excessive rust and wear. My truck has barely been on the road for its year and has had minimal exposure to road chemicals such as salt etc. These components rotting away to this extent with such low mileage regardless of age indicates the use of poor quality materials being used during assembly and posing a potential safety issue to consumers. I opened a case# 57271603 with Chrysler and the agent told, that even if the case was moved up for review . It would be sent back due to the age of the truck . Which I disagree with, as the front suspension components should not have rotted and disintegrated so badly and the chassis should not have had to have extensive repairs in less than 35,000 miles. I would think, that this poses a potential safety issue for anyone buying trucks using the same chassis and components from the same vendor, if they are not manufactured at a Dodge plant. Ultimately it should be the car manufacturer's responsibility, that the parts they are using are quality and will not pose potential safety risk to consumers . Please let me know, if further information etc. Is needed. Thank you.

Brake line corroded and leaked.
2005 Dodge Dakota. Consumer is seeking reimbursement for vehicle. Consumer states that dealer refuses to repair vehicle.
I took my truck to eastgate Chrysler at 500 north shadeland Ave. 46219 ph. # 317-352-7192 to have my airbag recall repaired and a wheel alignment, there wasn't anything wrong with my truck when I took it into them, on my way home I notice that the airbag light was flickering when I turned corner sometimes and 2 days later it stayed on and the cruise control quite working and the horn wouldn't blow and and that area where you blow the horn was very hard, I made and appointment to take it in to see what the problem was and they told me I must have done something to damage it because it was fine when I left and the clock-spring was bad and the repair would cost $480,I told them,I'm not paying for there mistake, service manger refused to fix it so I called Dodge customer service about 5-time and they couldn't get them to fixit either.

Shifter will move without key in ignition. Will role in any direction in any position but park. Can remove key from ignition while running. While it's still running with key out can shift and drive. Other times when I go to start engine the key won't turn. I have to hit the end of the key with the palm of one hand while the other turns it. Replaced the ball joints the first of this year and vehicle only had 87000 miles at the time. Changed brakes and had to have rotor turned. Driver side brake caliper plunger had multiple pieces break off getting stuck between break pad and remaining pieces of plunger casting the vehicle to pull left while driving. When applying the break it pull so hard it caused me to start going into another lane barely missing the side of another vehicle.

Recall g38 / the trans shifter started to not go into park at times and then slip out now it will not go into park at all. . Shifter stops at reverse and I have looked at shifter ajustment and no problem there, the recall said it did not apply to my VIN . But I am having same problems listed as the recall state's other's have , did I miss something and iam in recall added later?.
Dodge durango 2005 transmission was replaced at 100,000. Once that was replaced 4wd service light appeared and switching sounds under the truck started. The truck locked into place and could not move. I went into 4wd automatically and when I went to seach problems online I came across hundreds of the same complaints. . Read more...
Recall was driving and all of my breaks and calibers seized up. . Had to stop and spray them down.
There have been many recalls that include my model but, neither the previous owner or me, received any mail from any dealer or the manufacturer.
As I drive down the road, 4lo will flash and a quick grindy noise will come and go. . . Happens randomly on both city and highway. . . Don't know what's going on.
My truck will not go into park all other gear selections are available but no park. Additionally I'm able to turn the key back to the off position & take the key out. I pulled into work & was unable once I pulled into a parking place to put my truck into park. I ended up having to stay with my vehicle foot on the brake until someone blocked my wheels with a piece of firewood because the parking brake has also failed. Chrysler has a recall for 2001 & 2002 models for this very issue. After calling the dealer & Chrysler my truck is surprise* not covered under recall g28. I no longer feel safe as this truck is my only method of transportation. Chrysler needs to honor their recalls!.
My four wheel drive is engaging on it's own. The shift motor engages while the vehicle is parked and turned off. The four wheel drive will engage on it's own while I am driving. I had the vehicle tested at a certified garage and the mechanic said that the transfer case shift motor needs to be replaced. After researching Dodge/Chrysler issues, I have found that quite a few others have had this same issue. They also changed the transfer case shift motor and the problem was not resolved. I would like to find out if Chrysler is going to fix their electrical problems with the Dodge four wheel drives.
I have been apointed several times listed for apointments call direectly to field operations heard the prodacol and I understand I can use my auto resqueing for an accident to happen I just recieve a apolygy note,,,dont understand why I keep recieving these recall with out no protocol for the dealer to take action?.
My 2006 Dodge Dakota is having problem with the turn signal and wiper. While driving, regardless of speed, my right turn signal flashes when I'm turning left. This is a safety hazard that will confuse other drivers. My wiper is also acting up. The fastest speed sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. It's still working but just the regular speed. If it has speed of 1-5 for example, it only goes to 4. I think this should be a recall of parts or at least no charge when they replace whatever it is that needs to be replaced. Reading online, only Dodge-chrysller has this problem.
Takata inflators when can I expect my truck to be repaired?.
Control timer module door lock on and off all by itself, wipers turn on and off ect.
"takata recall" the power steering continues to leak even after several repairs have been made.
Pig tail connection to control blower motor for a/c and heat will melt. The fear is that it will cause a fire in the cab. There seems to be a history of this same problem and nothing is being done about this hazard.
Craked dash, sharp metal and sharp broken chunks of plastic that used to be a dashboard. Not safe to drive this way! the parts if available are exspensive, why is this not recalled replacing using better safer products.
Turning right last year signaled left and the blinker blinked right my wife was behind me and later asked why I didn't signal the right way I said I did im not a dumm yi checked things they were fine. About a week later . . . I put the high beams on and the wipers came on ran through the turn signals sure enough signal left blink right signal right blink left. Put high beam on washer fluid and wipers come on.
