The car just will randomly stall. No indication it is going to do this. This car is unsafe. I am to the point I hate driving it. I took it to shop and everyone says nothing is wrong with it. This has happened multiple times. I have only owned the car since 5/19.

Braking system failure when trying to stop . Brakes would press down but not slow the vehicular down. The brakes would randomly fail when stopping on both highway and in urban areas. Along with that the computer would fail and the abs light, the engine light , and the traction control light would come on along with the battery light. All the problems happen over time and randomly occurred. The fear for my safety and my family's safety should not happen when driving a newer car ! I have had a near death experience becuse this happened going down hill and I had to way to stop till the last minor as there was a sharp turn please I just want the car fixed. Every occurrence happened when the vehicular was operating and in motion.

The gear change isn't working, it seems to be a small gauge that keeps popping out and not gripping when I change gears. I have been doing it manually.
I parked the car on the side of the street. An hour later, after starting the car and placing the gear in drive, I could not switch gears to reverse or park, and could not shut the car off and remove the key. The gear shift was stuck in drive, and would not disengage even when the battery was disconnected. The car had to be towed. Mobile technician found that the gear shift cable was broken.

Drove the vehicle to a store and was unable to place it in park and remove the key from the ignition or turn off the car, subsequently discovered the shift linkage grommet, that maintains connection had failed, ended up having to replace the entire linkage and replace grommet.
This is the third time this has happened. The engine will stall randomly while driving. The same issue happened again today. This has happened to a lot of people, but still no recalls. This is extremely dangerous. When the engine stalls, you loose power steering and brakes. This can cause a major accident. Luckily, it's only happened on low rpm. This issue needs to be looked into and fixed.
I have an ongoing issue about the battery sign coming on sporadically. I took the car 3x to the dealer and nothing was found to be wrong. A couple of month later at least 5 different signs came up while driving, a warning about the power steering also appeared briefly and the steering wheel locked while driving. Luckily I was able to maneuver the car to a safe zone. I had the car towed to the dealership and yet again they found nothing, they told me that no signs appeared. Attached is the one picture I was able to take once I was able to move to a safe zone. Im just scared to drive the car and have this happen again, more so since went that happened I had my two small children with me in the car. I also have a video but I cant upload it.
When starting the car the rpms race on their own. It accelerates on it own. Check engine light is on. Taking multiple times to start the vehicle. This happened in a parking lot. These things are happening randomly.
Takata recall: I pulled out of my work parking lot at 5pm after it had been sitting since 7am and drove about 2 mins down the rode, car battery light flashed and the car would no longer accelerate and steering wheel locked up. All lights and radio, a/c continued working normally. I was left stuck in the middle of an intersection. I turned the car off and turned the key a couple of times, after about 5-6 times it finally started again and drove away normally. This has happened 6 times now in the past 6 days. Most recently I was driving down a busy street going about 30 mph in far right lane, I saw the battery light flash and I swerved into a parking lot before my steering wheel locked up. It is now taking 15-20 mins to start back up, it seems to be getting worse. It only seems to stall first time driving it in the morning or after work, in both cases the car has been sitting for 8-9 hours. I'm now scared to drive this car fearful it will stop on me and I wont have a chance to get out of harms way.
The car loses power and shuts off. The oil has to be topped off every 60 to 90 days or the car will not run or will shut down while driving on the expressway. When the vehicle comes to a stop, it may may not start at all. Over the past year, I have had to have it towed 4 times. The last tow to the dealership cost over $500. 00 for parts relative to the transmission.
In the last 2 weeks, my power steering has stopped working 5 times. At first I could pull over turn the car off and it comes back on. The last time was 2 days ago and now power steering will not come back on at all. There are currently no warning lights on indicating the problem and I could not pull any error codes with my scanner. Every time it has happened, I was on the interstate going around 65-75 mph.
Takata recall while diving at approximately 30 mph I was taking a left turn into my neighborhood when the vehicle began to accelerate on its own causing me to strike my drivers side front wheel on the curb disabling my vehicle. The motor still continued to rev at a high rpm for 10-15 seconds after impact without the accelerator being touched.
The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that the steering wheel had been locking and jerking in either direction, causing the contact to have to correct the failure each time it happened. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (west brothers Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram, 7 north service road, sullivan, mo 63080, 1-(877) 327-6183) twice, but they were unable to correct the failure. During the third visit, the dealer indicated that the electronic steering box needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was not available.
While driving this car at multiple speeds, the car slows down and comes to a complete stop, I hear a noise and the gas pedal vibrates, the steering and gas pedal locks up. This event has happened 3 times within four days leaving from my garage, on the interstate and a city street. The car was taken to the dealership lakeland Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram and I was told the car was driven by the technician 11 miles and there was no incident and at this point the car can no longer be driven due to a gash in the tire. However, a multi-point inspection, oil change and tire rotation was done on the vehicle 8/22/2017 and a gash in the tire was not noted on any paperwork nor was it reported as a problem.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. While driving 35 mph, the battery warning and service abs warning indicators illuminated, and the steering seized. The contact stated that the vehicle started sputtering and several electrical functions became inoperable, including the steering, instrument cluster, and radio. The contact turned off the vehicle and was able to restart it after several attempts. Once restarted, the vehicle vibrated abnormally. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. My car keeps cutting off while I'm driving. The batter light comes on without any warning. After the batter light comes on the only thing I can do is steer, the car starts to slow down, I can't excel at all, raido and all lights cut off as well. Once the car comes to a complete stop, I'll start it back up sometimes it'll start right back up, or I'll have to hold the key down a few seconds for it to start. The car have stopped on me while driving move than 5 times. I took it to the dealership where I purchased the car and the first few time they said after they ran all of the test they couldn't get the vehicle to duplicate the problem. Another time they asked could they keep the vehicle over night and have a mechanic drive the car home and back to work. The next day when I went to go pick up my vehicle they said they kinda-sorta got the car to duplicate the problem those were there exact words. Then they put a monitor in my car they told me to press the button while I was driving if the car was to go out so they can record the problem. The monitor was in my car for about a month and my car didn't duplicate the problem. A few weeks after they took the monitor out my car cut off on me again and took it back to the shop and they ran the same test and they couldn't figure out what's wrong with it. Another time my car went off I toom it back to the shop and it just so happened that my car was halfway empty on oil and they're telling me that my car is cutting off because it needs oil and they were going to monitor the oil. So they sent me back on the road and told me to come back when my car got to a certain amount of miles they had wrote down , when my car got to that amount of miles that they have wrote down I took my car back to the dealership and I told him to tell me if I needed an oil change and they told me I didnt. The car cut off when I was on the highway and on th.
The steering will catch or lock at times while driving. Increased effort is needed to turn causing over steering with possible loss of control.
The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Dart. While driving approximately 30 to 35 mph, slowing down, and veering left, the vehicle became difficult to control. The front end of the vehicle pulled to the right on its own and struck a curb. The front wheels straightened out and the vehicle landed in the yard of a sub-division. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The air bags had not deployed. The dealer diagnosed that the lower control arm snapped into two pieces. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 6,647.
My radio with the touchscreen has been replaced 4 times I believe due to an electrical issue-continued to flicker on and off. The visor fell off, now there are no interior lights. Brake recall repair done, but now engine light on, steering wheel locked up while in reverse, all system lights came on looking like failure. Car was accelerating on its own, but when putting foot on gas it would have no effect. Now the car does not start or even turn over including when jump started. I have documentation of the radio repair and brake recall and have videos on my phone of the acceleration with foot on the brake.
My 18 year old daughter was driving in motion when steering went out causing vehicle to go into oncoming traffic almost causing accident vehicle was on acme rd in rittman ohio a country road moving forward at 50 mpg steering did not respond to my steering until I had to slam on brakes almost hitting incoming car. Took to dealer and they 3 bulletin repairs.
I've had my car for over a year now and I have 9850 miles on my vehicle. Around 1am after coming back home from work going 60mph, I heard a loud clunk in my steering wheel and I decided to not pay attention to it because I thought it was the road. I tried to switch lanes, when suddenly I couldn't move my steering wheel at all. Luckily there was no one behind me so I started to slow down as soon as I hit about 13mph my steering wheel became unstuck and I was able to move again. The next day I took it to hunter Dodge in lancaster CA and when I brought it in they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle. About 3 days later, I was driving about 60mph again and my car started to drift into the dirt while I was going back home. I tried re-centering my car to the center, but my steering wheel locked once more and I started going into the dirt. I slammed on my brakes and luckily I was able to stop before I hit a tree. I took it back a 2nd time and asked them to look at it again and they had it for a couple of days and they still didn't find anything wrong with it. Luckily the times it has happened I was alone in the car. Inam. Glad to say that my family and my soon to be wife wasn't in that car. I cannot drive my car to la because of the fear that my steering wheel may lock up on me while on the freeway. Please help.
That vehicle just shuts off has I'm driving.
The contact owned a 2013 Dodge Dart. While driving approximately 25 mph, the steering wheel seized without warning. The brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to stop and crashed into a creek. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v800000 (service brakes, hydraulic); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.
I was driving down a side street about 15 miles per hour I heard a noise and I suddenly could not steer, I was forced to hit a curb and the wheel caved in and the car had to be towed. My insurance will not pay for the control arm that broke stating Chrysler should pay for the defective part that caused the accident, Chrysler will not pay for the part either. This was not my fault and I need help the car was in motion as I was driving on a city side street.

November 1 2015 while traveling on parkway 376 in pittsburgh pennsylvania . I became trapped behind a portion of a tree that had made it's way in the lane I enter the parkway. After being forced to stop, and put hazards on and attempt to merge into traffic. I was rear ended by a GMC envoy traveling at least 55 mph , forcing me into tree I was trying to avoid . My passenger and I left in ems vehicles, my car was returned to monroeville Dodge for repairs. After getting my car back I noticed when it rain, or snow the trunk of car would get wet. Whenever operating the car in speeds 35 mph or more , you could feel air coming through backseat. After returning the car to Dodge for inspection, I was told that they found nothing to cause problem. Car was inspected and pass with only requiring 2 rear tires. August 2 2016 , while at a stop sign, a driver driving a 2005 Honda pilot with original grill , rear ended the car, at this time I drove my car home, in the morning I noticed tires were bent outward. After filing a claim with the driver"s insurance CO, I learned that the car was not aligned after rear end hit on Nov 1 2015 that caused car to slam into the tree on parkway. After the insured fix only body , found not responsible for mechanical damage, once again the car was repair without wheel alignment by monroeville Dodge and offered back for operating on road. After taking the repair statement to other auto body repair shops, and pictures of both rear end accidents , I was advised the car could have sustained frame damages from Nov 1 2015, making it unable to be properly align and unsafe for operating. I'm currently still in a rental car my car is still at Dodge with no wheel alignment repairs after neither accident . Dodge has told both insurance companies ,(state farm Nov 1 2015, and geico Aug 2, 2016) wheel allignment was not needed. Please help.
I, sylvia, never received a recall notice on my Dodge Dart 2013 car. I purchased this car on my birthday of Nov. 30, 2013 at carl gregory Chrysler Jeep Dodge hyundl albany, GA. When I go to the shop and change my oil, I will ask the clerk if there a recall on my car. The clerk's answer is no, after looking on her computer. My car stall after start-up as well as hard to start sometime after I put the key in to start up my engine. I am having problem with my car and still paying payments. I purchased this car new and I should not have problems so early in life. Furthermore, I really like my car but having these problems is getting me to not trust my car. Please, look into this issue for me as soon as possible.
Driving at approx. 20 mph, getting ready to make a right turn into a parking lot, battery light illuminated, instrument panel went black, total loss of electrical power and steering. Coasted into a parking space and returned to car in about 20 minutes. Car started and acted normal. Next incident was about 35 miles later driving about 35 mph in a residential area. Same senario, battery light illuminated black panel and loss of steering. Took 10 minutes for car to regain power and start. Third episode at about 45 mph, battery light flashed, I shoved shift into neutral, panel remained lit, but no rpm so engine had quit. I pushed start button, engine restarted and I put shift lever into drive. Took to dealer but no codes. This car is dangerous but issue cannot be duplicated at the dealership because it is intermittent. I am trying to get Chrysler to repurchase this death trap.
While driving on a local street (under 30 miles an hour), I lost control of my vehicle and the tire exploded. I tried to regain control and the car jumped the curb. My daughters and I was shaken up really bad. Had I been on the high way it would have been a completely different story. I have the dealership investigating it now.
As I was approaching a traffic signal, my car lost power and did a half shut off (lost power items, but did not actually lock the steering out as if the car was in park). I was still moving and was doing approx. 20-25 mph when this happened. My power steering, brakes, etc were all lost and there was an overwhelming sound coming from the stereo system (sounded like a bomb going off in the car. ). I was able to get the car stopped and pulled over to a turn lane that was not in use without getting hit. Once I got the car stopped, it started back up and I was able to take the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer has not been able to diagnose the problem. This is not my first issue with the car. It also has had 'service transmission' errors and gave us numerous issues on christmas day as it would not start when we were headed home. Each time, the dealership was notified and they had the car for 92 days while they rewired the electrical system. These cars are not safe, even after having the electrical rewired, the car is still sending error messages and now shutting down while driving it. These need to be recalled.
July 14th 2014 I bought a Dodge Dart VIN 1c3cdfeb3rd63413. The car was properly maintained. Did not have problems with the car. While driving on may 8th 2015. On I-75 going about 70 miles per hour with thick flow of traffic. I heard and felt something crack on the front driver side of my car, under my feet. The car immediately pulled left and hit a concrete barrier wall. The car then bounced off a Toyota prius. I landed in the ditch on the right side of the highway mile marker 299 in pasco county florida. My first complaint is whatever broke to cause the accident. Which I cannot be specific about because I don't know if it was the axel or what yet. Taking note that no one was hurt. My second complaint is that not one of my 6 "advanced"safety airbags deployed in my cab after hitting two objects at that speed. As to why I do not know what broke yet. I called for Dodges roadside service, I was picked up and rode with my car to the nearest Dodge dealership. Jim browne citrus Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram, in dade city. This dealership did not have a body shop. I was told by the manager at the dealership my car would be towed to the body shop they used. As my car was under warranty and the accident report reflects mechanical error. After this day I would not see or know where my vehicle was for 46 days when the towing company called me about storage fees for my car that we couldn't locate.
