3 Driveshaft problem of the 2012 Dodge Durango

Failure Date: 12/20/2012

When driving the vehicle during the first snow storm of the season when I reached my destination I was unable to shift the vehicle into park or reverse. The only thing I could do is drive or neutral. After taking the vehicle to the dealership I was told that snow had gotten lodged in the drive shaft therefore not allowing the car to be shifted. Chrysler told me that this probably wouldn't happen again and that it was because we had heavy wet snow. This is wisconsin!!! we get snow all of the time. They stated that there is nothing that they can do to make sure it does not happen again. I am glad that I was not in a position where I needed to reverse the vehicle or I would have been stuck 55 miles from home in a snow storm!.
