Chrysler intends to repair your vehicle free of charge. . . . Simply contact your Chrysler dealer to schedule an appointment. My dealer is, douglas Jeep Chrysler Dodge, 2382 s. Tamiami trail, venice, FL 34293. Phone is 941-484-8300. I have contacted this dealer three times and they always tell me Chrysler still has not furnished them with the required parts. My wife and I were driving down the road, when the van started to lock and unlock the doors. The next time this happened my three kids were in the van and it was 85 degrees out and the only way we got in was to talk my son into trying to unbuckle his car seat. We have also had a problem with the ac not working witch is great when it is soo humid out. The doors still continue to lock and unlock by themselves at least once a week.

Electrical fire under the steering column, wiring harness replaced, and problems with the steering wheel. The vehicle is equipped with emc ds2000 adaptive steering and emc egb. While driving the vehicle's failure alarms constantly sounded. On one occasion the system malfunction and caused an accident. On another occasion the vehicle caught on fire under the steering column. On both occasions the dealer replaced the wiring harness. The driver continued to have problems with the steering wheel. The dealer determined that the gear train of the encoders were damaged. Both encoder gears as well as the encoder assembly were replaced.
