Check Engine Light On problems of the 2015 Dodge Journey

While driving on the express way I changed lanes and suddenly the car jerked and started going faster, the check engine light started beeping , I put my foot on the brake but the car did'nt slow down fast enough, soon as I looked up I crashed on my driver side, no air bags came out. . . I drove the car hm, the sensor started beeping low key battery. . I changed out the key battery and two days later the car start saying no key detected, I then called a locksmith, they had me buy a new key fob to reprogram. . It didn't work, there is something very much electrical going on with this vehicle.

Stopped at red light and when I step on the gas peddle check engine light came on and the car stalled, the dashboard, radio and a/c were still on. Attempted to turn on car and it shake to try to turn off but wouldn�t. Took it to carmax and car would not recognized car key to turn on. Carmax thought it was the battery and it wasn't that. They said it was the fuel pump, had it replaced but car would start and it turn off less then 5min. Carmax suggested taking to Dodge dealership for engine tare down to find out what is wrong with it. Estimate of cost to repair is $3200-5300. Car is at 77k-78k miles on it. From what I read this is where the car starts to stall upon reaching amount of miles on it.

While turning the vehicle the car completely stops having power. Car stalls out but still shows vehicle is running, air still works etc. No warning lights on the dash at all. . After turning the vehicle off and putting the vehicle back in park vehicle starts right back up. Still no warnings or a check engine light. No other mechanical issues with vehicle.

The engine turns off during operation with no warning. Steering wheel locks up and brakes are hard to apply. No check engine light to warn of a problem with the vehicle. Problem is random and is happening during vehicle operation and may cause accident if on the highway.

My car has 64,000 miles on it and the abs light, traction light, brake light and check engine light came. I have an appointment on Friday to get it diagnosed. At 32,000 miles the check engine light came on upon starting and my car would not go over 30 miles per hour. A fuel injector sensor went out.

While driving my vehicle, it shuts down on me, steering wheel locks and it stops accelerating. It is very dangerous, as it just stops on me. It has left me in the middle of the city street, and its been a few times now. The check engine light is on, although, in two occasions, when the car started back up, the check engine light goes away. It's nerve wrecking and scary to know that it will shut down on me just like that, while in motion. I drive on the highway, I just hope, next time, it doesn't shut down on me in the highway. I had a check engine light turn on- within seconds my engine shut off and I lost all power steering and brake control. I had to let the car roll to a stop. I put the car into park and restarted it. I was able to drive about 100 ft and it turned off again. Towed to dealership and code that came up was for the throttle body to be replaced ($716 usd). I had it fixed but car still was not driving the same as before the replacement. 10 days later the same thing happened in my subdivision. The engine turned off and I lost steering and brakes. Check engine light came on again. This time the car would not turn over. It would try to -you could hear the engine trying to start. Towed it back to the dealership and now it is the crank sensor?(another $147usd). Each time this happened I was in the car with my kids and had to let the car just roll to a stop. The first occurance was on 11/28/17 and the second was on 12/14/17.

Was driving outt of state in a 5 month old vehicle. We then stopped at a food place for about 25 minutes. When I tried to start the car, brake pedal was hard and would not give way, dash lights lit up run light as well but vehicle did not start. On several occassions the same thing happened with no results. After 5 attempts, the vehicle finally started and the check engine light lit up. Light stayed on for 4 days and then went off. Contacted dealership, after inspection determined crankshaft sensor message was recorded. Part was ordered and replaced. Hope this fixes the problem. Have seen all older models have similar issues. Hope Dodge addresses ant exsisting issues on new models.
