The contact stated that while driving at 50 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to slow the vehicle which caused the vehicle to crash into the rear of another vehicle. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal had seized in the open position. The contact stated that there was an excessive revving to the engine at the time of the crash. A police report was filed. The contact was not injured, however the front seat passenger suffered minor bruising from the seat belt. The contact was able to drive the vehicle from the scene of the crash to a nearby independent mechanic.
