Failure Date: 06/07/2018

A short in the drivers door wiring harness causes head lights to flash, turn signals to fail to operate, speedometer failure, cruise control failure, and warning lights to flash. It also feels like abs is disabled. This problem occurs at random while driving. Vehicle has been taken to dealership and diagnosed and the problem confirmed by technicians. The estimated repair cost is over $900 and the parts needed for the repair is on national backorder for at least three weeks. This problem occurs with numerous model years of the Dodge Journey. I have experienced this problem repeatedly both while vehicle is stationary and while operating on streets and highways. The only remedy is to pull over and repeatedly turn the vehicle on and off as well as opening and closing the door on the driver side. This becomes extremely hazardous on the highway as there is no way to utilize the safety signals and opening and closing the drivers door create a hazard to ot her vehicles on the highway. 4 Turn Signal problem of the 2009 Dodge Journey

Failure Date: 02/20/2017

This is not the first time this has happened. My windshield wipers come on by themselves and will not turn off, had to remove fuse. As I was driving home from work they came on and wouldn't turn off. Then the turn signals, headlights, and dashboard lights stopped working. This car has a mind of its own and these work when they feel like it; meaning they come and go, working one second then not the next, then working again. . . . Usually they don't work and stop for a long period of time then eventually work again like nothing happened. This time I'm not so sure how long it is going to go on because it is worse and ongoing. I am finding just how dangerous it is not to be able to use turn signals, etc. I am unable to drive to work now because of the headlights! and now the rain is coming in and I am not going to be able to drive without headlights or wipers. There should be a recall on this - there are sooo many complaints! if something happens to me or my children or grandchildren there will be a lawsuit filed as there is no reason for this not to be recalled with all the complaints and danger it entails. Complaints I have read are about air bags not deploying, cars stalling in the middle of driving down the road, etc. This is totally absurd!!!!! and as bad as my car is getting these problems won't be far behind. I do not have the money to dole out for this being a single mom as it is a costly fix, which is exactly why they refuse to recall I am sure!!.

5 Turn Signal problem of the 2010 Dodge Journey

Failure Date: 10/15/2016

Driving down the interstate, all of a sudden my heating/cooling would shut off along with my radio. Then it would come on. It did this several times. Shortly after that, my turn signals no longer worked and it caused me to almost get in an accident. I was driving approximately 65-70 mph. It continued to do this even after stopping. A week later, as I got up to go to work in the morning, it wouldn't start. It would just click when attempting. It wasn't sending the signal to the starter to get it going. I was stranded. I feel like my vehicle is possessed and it's really scary.
