Engine problems of the 1996 Dodge Neon - part 2

The head gaskets had to be replaced, alot of people have the same problem. The speedometrs come on and go off all the time. If you hit a bump or hit the dash they might start workin agiain. That includes the gas gauege. The car jerks while driving. It dies when making a turn or at a stop sign. It cuts in and out. Auto shop is trying to pin point the problem. Not real sure whats wrong I replaced the mgr valves that didn t help. Might have to replace fuel pump, but not sure if that will solve the problem. Car is just a bad vehicle t o have gotten. A lot of other peole are havingthe same problems.

Head gaskets have prematurally blown. Out. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.

This is a known issue with Chrysler. They have redesigned the headgasket seal a couple of times trying to fix this problem.

Bad defect of head gasket seal and door panel/control panel.

Chrysler was contacted in my case and chose to do nothing about it, unfortunately I am not the only owner of a Neon that has had problems with the headgasket and the speedometer. Obviously something needs to be done about them.

Please recall Neons to have the head gaskets fixed.

Cam seal is dumping oil onto hot engine, causing a potential fire hazard.

At 42,000 miles the engine head gasket cracked four times, cause unknown. Dealer cannot identify the problem. Please give any further details.

Engine head gasket has prematurely failed at 66,000 , causing a leak. Please provide further information.

Engine gasket have been replaced three times in past 2 years. It needs to be replaced again.
