Continual brake problems. Have had car in shop 3 times since sept. Of 2003 for brake problems. Even after my daughter took the vechicle to the shop, the brakes still made high pitched noise when stopping. Just had car inspected in March. . . Passed nys inspection with flying colors. . . Less than 2 months later, car seriously vibrated braking on curves and downhill on a recent day trip, and almost went out of control while driving at 10 mph below speed limit in the mountains. Car passed nys inspection late March 2001. Car has been in shop for brake problems: August 2003 at 29000 miles, Feb. 2004 at approx. 40,000 miless, and is scheduled to be fixed again now. Even after brakes are fixed they still have some movement, and make a high pitched sound when stopping.
A vibration could be felt in the front end steering components and through the steering wheel when applying the brakes. First reported 05/29/03 @ 7,900 miles. Rotors were turned, brake pads sanded (covered under warranty), tires balanced & rotated ( I paid for these repairs). Second complaint on 08/14/03 @ 11,747 miles. No work was done. Third report of the same problem reported on 02/04/04 @ 19,480 miles. Informed rotors were warped. Rotors were turned, brake pads replaced, tires were balanced & rotated. All of this work was not covered under warranty and I was charged for these repairs.

Brake rotors failed, causing vibration.
Entire brakes system and rotors had to be replaced by mechanic due to system being rusty and making squealing noise.
There is excessive wear of brake rotors due to excess pitting of front rotors. Also casting of rotors have bubbles, causing damage to brake shoes. Problem has not been determined.
Service rep stated brakes need to be replaced as well as rotors. Stated front pads are almost at wear sensor. Need to be replaced. Rotors also need to be replaced--corroded due to severe weather conditions in the buffalo area this past winter. Rotors cannot be turned because they would be below specs and cause pulsating. Rotors as not damaged by brakes but by road salt? Chrysler stated I have no recourse. Please advise.
While driving there was vibration. Also, vehicle rocked back and forth. Upon engaging the brake the shimming became irratic. Vehicle was difficult to control. Vehicle had 35000 miles on it, and has been taken in five times to dealer for the same problem. However, problem recurred.
